As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and more mysterious.
————————————————————————————————————————————
———————————————————————————————————————
Does knowledge make things more comprehensible, or more complex and mysterious? In my view, feeling mysterious or complex is just a phase in the process of people cognizing things.(开头简洁,8错)
Firstly, the speaker mistakes two basic concepts. As we acquire more knowledge, we will become more clear, what puzzle us are not the things we know, but the things we don't very sure about, which will gradually clear in the future. So it is human nature to feel complex or mysterious before we have a thoroughly and clearly perception, the feeling is inevitable in the process of people understanding the world.(感觉有点像在挑逻辑错误,注意不要写成argu:)
Secondly, I concede that the speaker's assertion is acceptable, but the speaker ignores that although people would feel mysterious or complex for a while, they would finally be clear about what happened or what it is. Feeling mysterious is only a phase of the process of people cognizing things. We can have many examples to certified it. In the past, people were mysterious about why people fall ill or dead, as time passed by, with the development of medicine research, we have saved many people's lives from illness and death. From the discovery of penicillin to the finish of the DNA group, from the accomplishment of periodic table to Stephen Hawking's theory of the big bang, human beings are endlessly make tremendous effort to explore ourselves and the world. Although new question will generate, which not means we leave the truth, to the contrary, we approach it.
At the same time, we should be aware that sometimes the mysterious phase may take a too long time that people mistakenly think the things become more and more complex and unclear. For examples, when scientists failed to explain some physical phenomenon by only using the Newtonian mechanics at the 17th century, they don't know what happened till the invention of Einstein's theory of relativity telling the truth. We still can't foresee whether there are any theory can tell us the mistakes of Einstein’s in the future. The same things happened in 1918 when a strange contagion snatched away millions of people's lives. People thought it the punishment of god till several years ago an American scientist finally found the killer-the influenza virus which can't be scanned at 1918.
While there are impermanent confusions and puzzles, great deal of facts still urge people insist on that our sustained effort on the exploration will be eventually more and more close to the truth.
In sum, the statement mistakes two basic concepts, normally speaking, we only feel mysterious to what we are not feel sure about. On the other hand, feeling mysterious is only a phase of the process of people cognizing things. Eventually, things will become more comprehensible.
感觉文章思路有点像中文的思维方式,不过也许我说得不对,猫猫同学自己想想吧:)
