A scientific research shows that about 1% of children are identified as gifted who have special talents and abilities. The author claims that early education should be taken into account for these geniuses because their talent might be deserted if postponed. To some degree, I agree that early education is necessary for them but
There will be many barriers when we carry it into execution.

Obviously, gifted children often think and act in different ways from ordinary children. They are identified as: curious, dedicated, smart, good at reading, think and memorizing. They may also show special interests in music, painting, biology or some others. Proper education especially designed for them will certainly develop their talents and abilities. Early musical education for a child who is particularly sensitive in tones may lead him/her to a successful musician if taught appropriately.
Correct early induction for those interested in math or physics may also turn them into accomplished scientists in certain aspects. Another fact is that, some gifted children may act naughtily in classroom because the course taught mostly seems in a walk for them. Consider that regular classroom teachers do not receive the training and support to appropriately modify the curriculum to meet the needs of gifted students, specially modified curriculum at an accelerated pace should be formulated for them.

However, education for gifted and talented remains immature since it begins at 20th century. Firstly, the identification gifted children remained revising. Those grows up in well-educated families may show better speaking or writing ability in their early age but not all these could be classified as gifted. A standardized measurement for children of different backgrounds is required. Secondly, few teachers have received general training customized for genius and all-round developing mode for them hasn’t come into being yet. Many gifted were not proper-educated since these limitations.

Furthermore, though gifted children master subjects much earlier and learn more quickly than average children do, these same gifts, which set them apart from other children, may lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, psychologist Ellen Winner wrote an article about this published in Scientific American. The parents of such young people are often criticized for pushing their children rather than allowing them a normal, well-balanced childhood. Meanwhile society expects gifted children to become creative intellectuals and artists as adults and views them as failures if they do not.

Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. And, childhood is just a small part of one’s whole life. Those gifted should be educated to utilize their intellect, thus to excel in their areas of ability when they grow up.

A scientific research shows that about 1% of children are identified as gifted who have special talents and abilities. The author claims that early education should be taken into account for these geniuses because their talent might be deserted<贴切> if postponed. To some degree, I agree that early education is necessary for them but T(t)here will be many barriers when we carry it into execution.

The parents of such young people are often criticized for pushing their children rather than allowing them a normal, well-balanced childhood. Meanwhile society expects gifted children to become creative intellectuals and artists as adults and views them as failures if they do not.<社会对于有天赋的人的期望的确是培养过程中的一个问题吧,或许只有像Einstein, Mozart这类人才能被称为真正的天才吧?!>

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration(为什么不用sweat?). And, childhood is just a small part of one’s whole life.<可以简单声明天才儿童同样有权利拥有于常人一样幸福快乐的童年> Those gifted should be educated to utilize their intellect, thus to excel in their areas of ability when they grow up.

upup
