214"Society should identify those children who have special talents and abilities and begin training them at an early age so that they can eventually excel in their areas of ability. Otherwise, these talents are likely to remain undeveloped."

A prevalent thought in contemporary society is that talent children should be identified and be trained at an early age to excel in their areas of ability. It seems really considerate to the talents and beneficial to the society, but in fact, in my opinion, it does not have so many advantages to give the talent children an early training in advance.

The talent children are the kind of those who have exceptionally advanced performance or the potential outstanding performance in intellectual, creative, leadership, artistic, or specific academic fields. Following this definition, we only have a superficial model in our mind what talent children are and the identification is complex and imprecise. What we use to identify a talent child nowadays is just to provide an intelligence quotient test and the high score receiver is considered to be talent. But this kind of test may be unfair and can be managed by a certain kind of training. In addition, it may neglect the talent whose abilities are developed unevenly, such as those potential in athletics, arts, music, or spatial skills, but not all of them. Other identifications like assessing them in a comprehensive way including the test scores in school, the performance in class, the honors gotten from competitions, the speed of learning new things, and etc. may work better than only concentrating on the IQ test, but they still could miss some talent students such as savants.

Even if the method we choose can select the real talent children out of the normal ones, it is still a problem how to educate them for educators. In fact, most of the talents are unevenly gifted and they may just have the potential in mathematics but have deficiency in reading or writing skills. If they receive the education supposed to be given to higher grade students, they may lose something fatal for their own ages. And unbalanced personality will be resulted from the gapped education. What’s more, these students may suffer from isolation and helpless when they get along with their fellows, which may cause severely psychological symptoms, because of their outstanding performance on certain areas.

To summarize, talent children are still children and they also need a complete development of their personalities. Rather than give them an early training, educators should let themselves to determine how to make good use of their abilities under the precondition that they have mastered what they should as children of their ages. What educators are supposed to do is to provide instructions, facilities and help to these talents.

The talent children are the kind of those who have exceptionally advanced performance or the potential outstanding performance in intellectual, creative, leadership, artistic, or specific academic fields. Following this definition, we only have a superficial model in our mind what talent children are and<来个小转折顺点> the identification is complex and imprecise. What we use to identify a talent child nowadays is just to provide an intelligence quotient test and the high score receiver is considered to be talent. But this kind of test may be unfair and can be managed by a certain kind of training. In addition, it may neglect the talent whose abilities are developed unevenly, such as those potential in athletics, arts, music, or spatial skills, but not all of them.<是指能力并不全面?这半句讲得有点不清楚> Other identifications like assessing them in a comprehensive way including the test scores in school, the performance in class, the honors gotten from competitions, the speed of learning new things, and etc. may work better than only concentrating on the IQ test, but they<指代不明> still could miss some talent students such as savants.

Even if the method we choose can select the real talent children out of the normal ones, it is still a problem how to educate them for educators(为什么不放在how前面?). In fact, most of the talents are unevenly gifted and they may just have the potential in mathematics but have deficiency in reading or writing skills. <前半段的意思和第二段的下半段有点重,可以考虑合在一起,再用一句话概括放在本段作过渡>If they receive the education supposed to be given to higher grade students, they may lose something fatal for their own ages. And unbalanced personality will be resulted from the gapped education. What’s more, these students may suffer from isolation and helpless when they get along with their fellows, which may cause severely psychological symptoms<天才儿童的心理问题是个很好的展开点,你不是喜欢心理方面的东西嘛,看点资料,扩充一下,(其实这你应该想的到的)>, because of their outstanding performance on certain areas.

To summarize, talent children are still children and they also need a complete development of their personalities. Rather than give them an early training, educators should let themselves to determine how to make good use of their abilities under the precondition that they have mastered what they should as children of their ages<这个问题你是从大人的角度来考虑的吧>. What educators are supposed to do is to provide instructions, facilities and help to these talents.

Otherwise, these talents are likely to remain undeveloped.得驳论也可以写写,即使不进行早期开发,这些孩子甚至更可能成才,这个观点接在第三段后面我觉得挺合适的,刚好是递进的关系]
