I partly agree to the speaker assertion that innovations results from the enterprise and unique perception of an individual. However, the speaker overlooks the effect of cooperation to the innovations, so it is not proper to claim that a team only worked out the details.
There are many instances to show that outstanding individuals with enterprise advanced the innovations in history in many realms. Napoleon, for example, was a typical example. He is a master soldier, an unequalled grand tactician and a superb administrator, who conquers the whole Europe, became the most powerful king in history and even defined an age. It is the enterprise that drives him to approach one and another goal in his career. Even after met his final defeat in the battle of Waterloo, he still struggled to come back to France. Enterprise makes him endeavor for his dream, strengthen his power, make exact schedules for campions, win them and search the next goal. Without his remarkable enterprise, he could have been a normal emperor, appreciated with his own France until he died or someone robbed his position. And he could never be revered by millions of men and women forever as today. Enterprise are also important element in other realm, for the reason that dreaming and working for goals wanted is the first step of any achievement.
Similarly, innovations results from the unique perception of individuals. Especially to business innovation, the vision and commitment of key individuals--such as a firm's founder or chief executive--from which businesses burgeon and innovative products, services, and marketing and management strategies emerge. The famous example is the Microsoft Company. The departure of it depended on inspiration of Bill Gates when he was in college. He invented the most popular operation system--Windows, and opened out series of software based on Windows. Bill had this leading vision to produce friendly operation system, which is beyond other system produces. For his novel ideal, Windows prevails all over the world, Microsoft becomes the most famous software company, and Bill is the top millionaire.
Nevertheless, we must be especially careful not to understate the role of team work in innovation. Actually, no one can accomplish huge goals on own, including Napoleon and Bill Gates. Members in group will offer respective intelligence and views for the team’ aim. Napoleon had myriad soldiers and excellent agas fighting for him in those millions of wars. Bill have adopt various ideas from his employees, even opponent voices against his thought. Members who are divided for work can supply the sufficient attentions, take pains to the works they see to and help the aim maker to find flaws in his assuming objects. With members working together to discuss the truly practical object, think out the best feasible plans, every part of the aim accomplished far more efficiently than worked by individual.
In sum, I agree that, the impetus and enterprise of key individuals in the group is the motivity of any innovation, and the group offers the fundamental assistance to impel make the innovations into practice. Both of two are crucial elements for the ultimate objective, especially today.
