I fundamentally agree with the speaker's assertion when things come to those ancient mysteries that were discovered by people in modern days. However, the speaker overlooks certain societal problems unique to today's world, which are complex and challenging in ways unlike any ancient problems that earlier people ever faced.
It is reasonable to say that the illusion of people thinking those problems they faced are more complex than earlier people will disappear because of the increased knowledge and experience. For instance, when people finally discovered how early people built those mysterious ancient Egyptian towers(pyramids), they were of course surprised by earlier labors' spirit of fixing so complex problems like this, when modern people think building such kind of towers still is a huge project for them. >Moreover, when modern people can easily travel everywhere they want, Macro Polo took his tortuous way and followed the Silk Road north and east to China, which he reached about three years later. I think it is people who like Macro Polo will make modern people feel easier to solve a transportation problem than ancient people.<首先现有的运输手段之所以便捷主要是由火车、飞机;其次,Macro Polo所起的作用主要是文化交流上的吧,运输通路是由他打开的?
Furthermore, when modern people are always worrying their food will ruin if kept too long in summer, people who live in old time have not even owned an icebox. This is why Macro Polo felt so hard to maintain spice fresh through the Silk Road while modern people can easily do the same thing. On the other hand, although modern people still feel unwarranted and ineffective to send their messages through the Internet, ancient people must spend a long time to wait a letter, which might not be finally received. Facing these facts, the illusion stated by the speaker will absolutely disappear totally because our accumulative knowledge.<我总觉得题目中暗指的我们所遇到的问题应该是那些目前解决不了的,而认为将来依靠技术和经验能够攻破的难关。
However, not all problems can be solved by our increased knowledge and experience. As we know, our environment is losing its original nature largely because of contradicts that human beings are always destroying it but keeping on finding new ways to protect it. It is obvious that with the ever-increasing knowledge and experience modern people will forever feel it is so hard to keep our surrounding clear, but ancient people can do this without any huge effort.<这个不恰当,污染是工业革命随之而来的副产物吧,古代人没制造过这么多污染吧,何来处理之说;再说环境问题没说以后不能解决啊!> Moreover, even now people still cannot fix the Global Warming staff, although numerous means have been worked out and will be worked out and traffic jam seems to expand its function to disturb people forever<这半句和and前面有联系?>. In this way, people in our time will certainly feel how easy and comfortable ancient time life was.<这句Recap好像与题目无关>
Even assuming that with the fast pace of globalization nowadays, conflicts between people, government and firms, and nations constitute an intertwined problem far more complex than earlier problems. In order to keep the peace of the world, it is better for us to negotiate everything without weapons, which become the most challenging work for every country. In ancient times, although violent may be the worst way to smooth conflicts, it cannot be so complicated as to let each part make compromise without any anger. In addition, the multi-culture become so important in our time, drugs, juvenile criminals, homosexual problems and so forth, they are rooted topics which may never be solved properly even with our knowledgeable and experienced people, theses things are far more complex than ancient problems.
In sum, in some certain realms, people would feel our livings are much more comfortable and cozy than ancient times, and thought earlier people face more complex problems than us. Nonetheless, some problems like universal and timeless problems will never lose their importance even with our increased knowledge and experience, let alone to say how they are complicated than ancient problems.
