Technologies are playing such an important role in the social development now, that our lives have totally changed during the last century. If someone asks me about my opinion toward the influence of technologies, my answer will be that out social customs and ethics are greatly influenced and even determined by the technologies, especially which invented in the past century.

First of all, technologies are playing an essential part in our everyday life now, that we even cannot live alone for one day with out them. If there is no television in the world, maybe most people will just feel inconvenient or uncomfortable. And if electric lights have not been invented, we may just feel that we have lose half of our time. But if there is no electricity at all, it will be unbelievable for a modern man to live on the earth. There will be no factory, no machine, anything we have now would have been extinct and all we can do is try to make a fire with a flint. For modern people, when they get together and talk about a soap opera broadcasted on TV, they may not find that all of their lives are built on the base of technologies. And technologies have completely changed their lives in a silent way.

If we move our eyes to a boarder view, we will see that there are uncountable changes in our ethics compared with our ancestors.  Take people's attitude towards divorcement as an instance. In ancient years, people take the divorcement as a serious incident, a divorcement may disgrace not only the family themselves but also all their relations. But now, due to the rapid change in our lives, which is driven by the development of technology, divorcement is becoming a familiar thing to all the people and most of them have accept it. Another example is the homosex, which has been forbidden by all the nations for a long time, but now, some of the nations have accept this as a legal behavior and allow people marry with who have the same sex. Because research result on psychology shows that homosex is only a regular nature existence.

However, we must notice that technologies are not and will never be the only determinant of the social customs and ethics. For instance, Christmas is a production of people's religion from long ago, Santa Claus have sent countless gifts to the children. Now, the gifts may have changed to computer games or electric toys, but technologies can never prevent the Santa Claus from coming from far away to give our children surprises. And we may have make prominent change in our ethics, but honesty, bravery and kindness are still recommended by all the people no matter where he/she comes from. And just the ethics we get from our ancestors and hold in our mind keep up seeking for constructing a better world.

To sum up, our social customs and ethics have been changed tremendously by the technologies, as the technologies becoming to be the most important element of our lives, it even can determine the customs and ethics. But there are still other determinants in the world and they should never be overlooked.

To sum up, our social customs and ethics have been changed tremendously by the technologies, as the technologies becoming to be the most important element of our lives改成life生活, it even can determine the customs and ethics. But there are still other determinants in the world and they should never be overlooked.这个文中没有提最好不要在结尾的时候节外生枝，而且题目本身也没有说科技是唯一决定传统和道德的要素

总的来说正如你自己所形容写的不是很理想。我认为主要是题目没有分析好就落笔了，思路不够清晰很多论据站不住脚。建议再仔细分析一下题目多看些范文。
