161. People remember special gifts or presents that they have received. Why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

People always remember certain special gifts or presents received from others, which is a usual phenomenon to human beings. Why this happen? In my observation, those gifts or presents represent important time, valuable experiences and precious friends or relatives.

In the first place, some gifts or presents stand for some important time, such as accepting admission of certain university, winning a championship, or succeeding in work. Since people earned or received those gifts or presents at that time, they sometimes unconsciously remember them and that time. For example, when I accepted my admission of university, my friends gave me a frame as a gift to celebrate my success. Although a small frame almost has no value, with the time lapsing, it recorded the time and can remind me the past important time, and thus I still remember that present and well care for it. In short, some gifts and presents possess special time to people and they also become important in people’s heart.

In the second place, a large deal of gifts relate with valuable experience. To a few people, they are used to saving some little and valueless gifts for themselves for the reason that they want to inscribe some special experience in their memory through gifts. There is an appropriate example that can illustrate my viewpoint. My friend Neo gets accustomed to caring for some presents. Those gifts have different meaning. One may be have a happy time when he achieved his dream. The one may be own a sorrow emotion when he was disturbed by some frustration. Those gifts recoreded some valuable experiences when he save them. Hence, people will remember them.

In the third place, some gifts received from relatives or friends will make people remember them. Suppose, for instance, that a student will go abroad to study. While he is leaving, his relatives and friends will give him many presents. Some of those gifts have no value but possess great emotional value. When that student arrive in other country, he can remind himself the face, voice and time between he and his relatives and friends. Consequently, people will not forget those gifts.

If all factors and examples mentioned above are considered, I can safely drew a conclusion that due to that gifts possess important time, valuable experience and memory of relatives and friends, people will remember those gifts.

One may have a happy experience when his industrious work paved way for his dream. Another may own a sorrowful emotional experience when he was terribly harmed by some frustration. Hence, combining with diverse experience, gifts are not only normal books, jewelry, or purses, they turn to be parts of people’s experiences.

In the third place, some gifts will be remembered because those are relevant to their givers. Through those presents, receivers can recall some memory of present givers. Suppose, for instance, that a student will go abroad to study. While he is leaving, his relatives and friends will give him many presents. When that student arrives in other country and live there, those presents can remind himself the face, voice and time of his relatives and friends. Consequently, gifts are sometimes mental reliance and comfort to their hosts.

If all factors and examples mentioned above are considered, I can say that due to those gifts possess important time, valuable experience and memory of relatives and friends, people will not forget some special gifts.

只是第二条理由的例子不太明白。。。

第二条我当时写偏题了。好不容易拉回来就改成那个样子了。看样子还要改一下。有没有什么建议阿？
