The statement above conceals the interesting contradictory between the ideal conception and realistic embodiment. The issue of the educational style and effectivity is the complex system, involving educators, educatees, and the intermediums which can be teachers and parents between them, not simply a debate over which courses should be offered.
As an ideal conception, the specially designed education for different individuals is greatly conducive to enhance the functions of education and the benefits each person obtained from it to the largest extent. On one hand, every one is biologically equal. That means the genes, determining our good and bad qualities, our features and characters inborn, is to some extent fair. Any one, owning some innate capacity in one aspect, would suffer the disadvantage in another. Every person is an apple bitten by God, who would not takes sides any of them. So the education conceived accurately for each one will take advantage of his innate beneficial factors, and avoid harmful ones. As Forest Gump, the leading actor in movie “Forest Gump”, is congenital mental deficiency, but also a genius at sports. Forest is a luck man for being found and developed to become famous athlete, no longer a disabled child laughed by his friends. The meaning of this conception presents fully in such case. On the other hand, ones’ interests, sometimes the same as inborn capacities, are more possible to be fostered to form successful careers. In my experience, we have internal impulses to deal with stuffs we are interested in, devote time to complete and try our best to be expert. The specially designed education can seize such nature of human, making the educatee be taught with pleasure.
Not only individuals, but also the nation harvests fruit from this conception, for all citizens are most properly educated. If each one had received the most suitable education aiming at itself, the allocation of education resources would be optimized to the utmost. More important, the well educated people would make the country formidably strong and prosperous. It is undoubted the special education for individuals is admirable conception in terms of effectivity.上面这两段论述得相当好呢
Under such aura of grandness, we can’t help to asking why we haven’t carried out this conception till now. In retrospect, you and I, our fathers, grandfathers, who enjoyed the benefits of it? Unfortunately none. What are we waiting for? So let us get down to possibility of realizing the ideal specially designed education.
The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and critically and save the man from the morass of errors. Based on our various personalities, which is changing and maturing as well while we grow up, there should be a special educator or expert who concentrate on acquainting with each of us (not our group), understanding what we need and interested in. It cannot be half-heartedly, but they have to put themselves in our position. Then they could design the variable educational methods fit each one of us. Is there enough educators, including all teachers, dedicate themselves to this so-called grand program? I doubt that even if someone really copes with this project, facing with millions of students, they can’t complete forever. Furthermore, the relationship between teachers and students is not like the one that retailer satisfying, even catering to the customers. It is the partnership of communication and cooperation, any side can’t predominate. We can imagine the difficulty in precisely scheming suitable education style for each student. Moreover, the variation of students’ personalities and inclinations will render one style invalid, giving rise to much more difficulties to actualize.
What aggregates its unrealistic currently is another problem, the expense of the government budget. If marvelously, we can find the way to benefit each educatee and optimize the educational resource to fully extent, can we afford the huge cost to achieve it? If only half or even less of it have been done, who will get access to the limited number? First come, first served? Or charging the payment, changing the education to the commodity?这一段也是,其实跟是否effective是有关系的,但可惜楼主没有点明白
Admittedly, education designed to meet individual needs and interests is effective, but it is not realistic, and not the only way to improve the efficiency of education. I promote, more realistically and appropriately, to construct the educational styles based on groups, not individuals, and to establish the spacious environment in which individual interest and creativity can be developed. |
