其实挺早就收到AD了，但因为说钱不钱的要3/4月份才定，而其他的学校也没消息，所以没有答复。

AD：NEU，UNH，KENT，AKRON，前三个都说钱34月份定。都是MA；PHD的那些学校还没消息。

The Computer Science department has found you academically acceptable for the Master's degree for the Fall 2007 semester. In addition, you have been awarded the Kentucky Graduate Scholarship which covers out of state tuition, $ 7669.00,  for the Fall and Spring academic year.

一开始还不知道这封信想做什么, 因为印象中AD都是以Congratulation! You are admitted to....开头的. 后来到Kentucky的网站确认了下, 状态是Admitted, International.
报下背景:
211小本 Information Engineering (学校在CS和ECE方面实力很弱) , 我申请的是CS的MSc
GPA 3.58/4   Rank 1/120
没有论文, 只有在同领域大公司暑期实习的经验.

第一个OFFER是来了,可是钱真的好少,学费全免,是GA,一个月只有600美元,而且保险啥的费用还得自己交.发信问了能不能养活自己,系主任说auburn在美国标准里是very cheap,很affordable.但也说了是cover most of the expenses,还说干的好的话会长工资

背景:
中国地质大学(北京), 小本,本来是211,现在和武汉的地大彻底分开了,211估计保不住,最新大学排名是91名

GPA 3.23
T 647+6
G 550+760+4.5

4个暑假工作经验,公司是亲戚开的...所以有了一个比较好的实践机会.公司搞的主要是提供工业自动化的解决方案,和我申请的方向有些关系

1个学校的创新杯项目,自己是leader,想搞焊缝跟踪机器人,但只做出来了转向部分,没有资金,也没有老师指导,就没做出来,而且大三主要搞GT了...

06年10月进了清华的国家重点实验室,搞车辆安全的,和申请方向算是完全无关吧 当初要我看上的是我英语好吧,他们是国际的项目,所有文件得翻译成英文,于是刚开始就是狂搞翻译....现在也只是帮着分析分析数据

去年年底收到排名70几(综合/专业/学术威望)的学校的early Offer with 15000/9-month(申请截止日期还没有到,提前了1个月, 也就是说不管有多牛的人再申请, 也要我了, 这点让我挺感动的).  但是系里的Director让我2月中回复他我最后的决定. 但是我们专业大部分Offer都在3月中前后出来, 所以我还在等待其它学校的消息.

I have been accepted to MS program in biostatistics. I am not sure whether it is AD or offer. No tuition fee was listed and no financial support was indicated. It said that " for question about your academic program,please contact Dr.xxx at xxx."
My background is not strong. My major was neither biology nor math related. Maybe the GRE and TOEFL scores are favorable for my admission. So keep positive, everyone!
