At first glance, the common mores and values regarding environmental protection seem to lend sound credence to the point. And Some remote districts that are owned publicly, although accessible to only a few people, are vulnerable to the demolishment, while they play an indispensable role in the ecosystem. It is undeniable the government’s duty to preserve publicly owned wilderness areas without excuse. Nonetheless, I find that this assertion above goes far too extreme, neglecting the pressing needs regarding the survival or self-protection of human beings. In a word, given the duty of preserving the wilderness areas to the best of the government’s, along with other relevant organizations’ abilities with no excuse, a little limited compromise to the pressing needs of humanities should also be permitted.
In general, the author is on the reasonable and philosophical side of the issue. Humanities are used to assuming that the earth is omnipotent, owning endless resources sent to our humanities by God. Also, due to the development of the modern technology, even the remotest area is vulnerable to the damage. Thus, in the perspective of viewing the environment of the earth as a holistic ecosystem, remote as they are, the protection of the distant areas can not be exempt. As a result, civilized as it is, our modern era has been marked with widely spead pollutions and violations to the wild enviroment. After all, earth is just like any average vulnerable individual, whose resources and abilities are so limited that excessively utilizing would disturb, annoy and ultimately fuel him/her. At the same time, the wilderness area plays a significant role in the ecological balance.
Theoretically, government should do their endeavor to preserve the communal wilderness areas. And in reality, the protections of the wild life have becoming the crucial role of the government, for the sake of profits of human beings in the long run. As the governments, they have the responsibilities to gain the interests for all their members and always consider welfare of humanities as a whole. The forest in the Amazon, regarded as the lung of the earth，provide tons of moist oxygen for the atmosphere and function in modulation the climate of the world. Another apt illustration of this point involves Alaska, diaparaged as being a remote and inaccessible area. Due to government efforts, this unfrequented territory remains its initial state over a long haul. Nowadays, Alaska turns to be one of U.S.A most valuable regions: affluence of forests and flourish of fishery. Without the preservation by people years before, none of those functions can be performed such well. Therefore, the susceptibility of the wilderness area to the contamination combined with its crucial function and potential profits requires the immediate protection of the districts.
