1。孩子的确良不太适合社会的需求

3．不必过于担心，孩子的自学能力可以保证他们的社会能力。

More and more critiques are point at children that they are in lack of  the sense of compassion ,cooperation and competition, some one attributes this situation to the failure of education. I agree that children are the future of society and how they are socialized determines the destine of society and current education have some flaws, but we should not worry about it too much because we should be confident of the ability of children in self-learning.

Children will become the main support of the society in the future, and what they act will directly determine the face of future society. Today's children will become tomorrow's engineers, scientists, politics, artist, educators and so on, could they act more effective that today's people do? Many people including education experts, parents worry about it. Because toady's children are not like what people expect. They spend more time watching TV, surfing the internet while less time in playing games together. One of my younger brothers is just the case.  He begins to watch TV when he was 3 years old, and he has been addicted to it since then. When I ask him to play basketball with me, he said" I do not want to play basketball. Playing with others is too dull. I just like watching TV" I feel very confused. How could he think that the team game--basketball to dull? When I asked his mother, she said he have some difficult in getting with others, so he never play basketball or football at school. I am worrying that how can those children who cannot get well with others work well as an employee in big companies, or scientists, or managers, all of who need an ability to cooperate with others.

Current education including school education and family education should be responsible to this situation to some extent. Current society focuses more on learning knowledge facts while neglect the full development of children. In China, from primary school, children are obliged to learning a lot of dull knowledge and remember a lot of facts. Teachers only grade the students by standards that how students master the knowledge. In this way, in order to get high grades, students must spend more time on text books while less time on dealing with others, because no matter how well one get along with others, if he or she does not learn knowledge well, he or she will not get high grade, which their parents concerns very much. If a child have not got high grade at school, he or she will feel great pressure from families not only including parents but also including other family members. In this situation, how can student are well socialized? They even do not know how to get along with their classmates. Further, school education focus less on team work in China from primary school to high school. My experience can well justify this point. I have never remembered any teacher asking me to cooperate with other to fulfill a job. All home work should be down individually. In this way, it is hard for children to develop a strong ability to adapt the society.

Although the situation is very serious, we need not to lose hope for our society.  Although education does not prepare the children to be well socialized, however, the ability of children of learning themselves should not be underestimated. Actually, the ability could not easily be taught by teachers or parents, it is formed in the process of children's growing. School education take too much time that children could use to practice their ability in dealing with others, however, once the children got some opportunities, they could easily develop such ability. Universities are good place to fulfill such action. In college, student have more leisure to manage themselves, they have many opportunities to meeting different people,
================================================================================in my university, I have to get along well with not only my classmates, but also partners in student union. I have to learn to cooperate with them, and sometimes compete with them. My social ability improved quickly in my first seminar.

In conclusion, we should believe the ability of children in dealing different situations and form the ability that could meet the demand of future. But, we also need to reform current education system and pay more attention to the full development of children. Both educators and parents should make their contribution.
