Orientation或者学校luncheon之类的, 你穿个business casual绝对够了, google一下"business cusual", 有无数的说明, 图片也有很多的. 这种场合穿正装绝对是over-dress的geek, 作为一个女生, 请千万注意dressing code.....

至于拖鞋, 你到了美国就会发现, 你一年之中, 穿拖鞋的的日子是最多的, 如果在温暖的几个州, 可能超过80%.

actually i think the clothes from eland are nice choice for daily wearing
in NYS i usually wear Teenie Weenie's tshirt inside with a Eland shirt outside at this time...
considering the dress...
I think Eland now is not a gd choice
the clothes from Eland are gettin uglier
and the design from it now is not so gd actually except of the original shirts

if u r thin and rich enough
i recommend u to buy SCOFIELD which is also one brand in Eland Coop.
i have a blue dress of this brand
i think it's quite nice

this season
there is a white dress with little sleeve
and a navy blue skirt in A cut
they r all pretty and suit ur situation
there are several colors i guess
and there's "MiSe" with big "GeZi" on it, a little like a dress from Burberry
they r all gd
u can go and have a try
i dont know whether u can still find them

and if ur still in china

actually i think some dresses from PORTS are okay considering you wanna just go orientation
PORTS has some dresses which are not so mature...

i think for students
sometimes "LianYiQun" (don't know how to say in Eng) is actually the best choice
or shirt and skirt are okay
but u have to be careful with the color and style
i think simple color is good
and small "GeZi" is good 2....
