TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."

For thousands of years, education is an eternal topic. We all get our knowledge from our teachers or parents and passed it down to our students and kids through classes, books or even simple guides to next generation. However, the controversy about whether education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student, has never came to an end. I partly agree with the viewpoint that education need to meet the individuals' needs and interests to get it more acceptable by students, but I don't think specify education is the only way to effective education.

What's definition and essential of education? Most people would probably say teaching and learning. They are two compact aspects of education and lacking of either part will not make an education. So, we must evaluate the efficiency of education from both sides. On the one hand, teaching each student under meeting individual's need and interests would take great burden to the teachers. They have to know each student very well and make their syllabus acceptive to every students he or she teaches. It is feasible when it is a small class, but if the teacher teaches hundreds of students, how can it be possible? On the other hand, students will surely get much from the specially signed classes which exactly concern their needs and interests. But is it worthy to do so?

In different period of schooling, we should consider it separately. As in the primary school, knowledge is very fundamental that all the students are required to master the same thing. Under such circumstances, individual education has no advantage but a waste of education resources. Teach the same and learn the same are the most effective way in this period of education. As they step into higher schooling, knowledge begins to diversify into so many different subjects. There is no need for a student to get them all since it is neither possible nor meaningful. Students show their individual needs and interests to different subjects and we should give them what they need. Education resources can be used sufficiently and the students would surely benefit from it. And to those who intend in academic research, students should even receive more specified education. In this period, students are to be cultivated as an expert in a certain field and therefore sometimes an one-to-one education might be the only but a truly effective way for them.

However, education is a way to get some basic knowledge and skills which can not be thrown away even if it fails to meet students’ needs and interests. Take math into consideration, if a student do not master the basic calculation of primary school, he can not even survive in today’s society since he or she can not even do the sum operation to count his money. Those basic knowledge is required to be mastered by everyone, no matter it is like or need by the students themselves.

To sum up, when talking about the efficiency of education, we have evaluate from both teaching and learning. And, though different period of schooling, the situation is not always the same.  Education designed to meet individual needs and interests would greatly benefit the students but it can not ignore some basic knowledge and skills even if it doesn’t meet some students’ need or interests.

这篇文章基本没有语法和单词错误,这点很好!
开头段删减一下。
例子不充分。
主体段之间要有些过度句。
