To begin with, there may be non-cause----->no causal relationship between the increasing of the old listeners and the declination of the total number of listeners. No evidence shows that the old listeners prefer news program to music and the declination is resulted from the music program.  Even if old listeners like news program, it does not mean that the reason ---有reson就不能有mean了...这句怎么看怎么有问题that the total number declined is the old listeners’ interests.
感觉你这一段说理有问题.首先作者没说根本没说老人人数的增加和总人数的减少有因果关系.老人的增加(老人不听摇滚)和总人数的减少是想说听摇滚的人减少了.从这个方面去批驳就行了.再看看..

The listeners of the two areas may be quite different from each other. It is possible that the news program may be excellent in the neighboring cities while not so good in the arguer’s area. It is also possible that maybe in neighboring cities there is only news program so that people have to choose it. In short, the situation in the two areas may be varies----->different so that we cannot put them together to make a comparison. 这段说的也很清楚.注意最好别用the arguer's area 就直接说KNOW就好了
Finally, the arguer mentioned the survey is doubtful. We do not know the details of the sample of the survey such as numbers, constitution and so on.
