Syllabus:
1.以教育能否满足individual needs and interests of each student 作为判断教育是否有效的标准有其合理性。因材施教是公认的 有效的教育原则。同意上述观点。
2.简述因材施教的好处。但实际情况是任何一个教育机构或体制都不可能完全地满足每个受教育者的需要和兴趣。问题复杂,限制。如:个人的兴趣,学习方法,学习进度,天赋等。
3.个人的兴趣和需要是跟随年龄增长而不断变化的。过早地鼓励学生以个人需要和兴趣发展而忽视基础知识的教育反而可能限制他们的发展。
4.学校有权利和义务为指导、鼓励个人的发展要求,发现不同学生的兴趣和天赋。一味迁就不断变化的个人需要和兴趣导致教育的混乱。迁就某些个人的不合理的要求也是不切实际的。据能力提供尽可能多的课程以满足尽可能多的合理的需要和兴趣。

To some extent, it is a rational criterion that whether education could cater to individual needs and interests of each student. It is a agenerally acknowledged rule of education to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. I agree that the most effective way for education is to design specifical courses to meet every students' needs and interests.
Every student has different interests and needs. Interest is the best teacher which can inspire one's thirst for knowledge, arouse one's fighting will and give full play to one's talents. If education system can meet diverse interests of indivisuals of each student, they'll learn better. The situation of students' needs is the same as the one of interests. Everyone has their own needs, for example, someone suits to study at night, so they wish to attend classes in the evening. Someone like science more than arts, so they need to be taught with more knowledge about science. But in fact, there's no system of education can meet so many dissimilar needs and interests. When a problem comes to many people things will become complex. And there're lots of limitations for school to teach according to different needs and interests of students. For instance, every student has different methods to learn and different pace of advance. Those who cann't accept information as quickly as other students, will fall behind, if teachers don't pay attention to their needs and specialities. Meanwhile, students have different gifts. Someone are good at mathematics or chemistry, but not language or history. So in order to meet these differences, school has departed subjects of science and arts. It's a good solusion to meet different talents of students.
In addition, interests and desires of students is continually changing as they're growing up. To lead or encourage them to develop according to their interests and desires too early, but ignore the basic or general education will lead to counterproduction. There're possibilities for students to be shaped to narrowed views.
School has responsibility and duty to guide students to make clear about their future, encourage students to find their own practical needs and try to find interests and talents of differernt students. But this does not mean to accommodate their needs without principles. There're also some unreasonable requirements of students, winking at these would only result in chaos in education.
To summarize the above, in my opinion, schools, according to their practical situation, should try their best to design diverse specified courses to meet reasonable needs and dissimilar interests of students. So that they have more chances to approach to lots of study fields of disciplines, and broaden their perspectives, and develop better.
