I am pleased to offer you a 50% graduate research assistantship for the Fall 2007, Spring 2008 and Summer
2008 semmesters that pays $1100.00 permonth. For the Fall 2007 Semester, you must take at least two MAE
courses in addition to working on your assistantship. Dr. XXX has agreed to be your MS advisor and will
support your assistantship from his research contracts. During your MS program, you must continue to
perform satisfactorily with your assistantship and maintain a 3.5 GPA. In order to have the assistantship
renewed for the Spring 2008 Semester, you must have performed well on your assistantship, and obtained a
3.5 GPA or better in the Fall 2007 Semester. our expectation is that the assistantship will run for the
duration of your MS study.

All graduate teaching and/or research assistants that are employed 50% time throughout the semester, and who are
enrolled in at least 6 semester credit hours that are appropriate for the intended degree, receive  a full waiver of the
non-resident portion of tuition (if applicable). In addition, each such student will receive a resident tuition scholarship
equivalent to six hours of resident tuiton for each Fall and Spring semester they are employed. The assistantship also
comes with Graduate Student Health Insurance Coverage (XXX provides full payment of student's coverage).

这是不是就是传说中的全奖呀？为什么是 50% graduate research assistantship ？还有为什么只有a full waiver of the
non-resident portion of tuition呢？那洲内学费是不是要自己付呢？

背景就等收到了正式的文件在写吧，没有陶瓷，如ID一样，背景很菜。我的体会是，研究一定要对口，只有对口成功率才高

a full waiver of the non-resident portion of tuition个人觉得是全免，即使不是全免，州内学费也很低。你可以问一下小秘。

50％、0.5都是指part time的工作，或者说每周20小时，full time是每周40小时，相当于每天8小时。

另外，非居民部分的学费是免掉的（waived），居民部分的学费是给的scholarship，虽然明堂不一样，但其实对你来说还是一分钱都不用交，所以你这个自然是全奖。
