Most people are taught that loyalty is a virtue. But loyalty-whether to one's friends, to one's school or place of employment, or to any institution -is all too often a destructive rather than a positive force.

1. First of all, if been treated properly, loyalty would definitely benefit us as a precious virtue. (list examples here like the important of loyalty to couples, between individual and company, also between individual and country)
2. Nevertheless, the over emphasis of loyalty without distinguish would put us on the way of blindness and fanaticism, and to some extent, loyalty becomes a destructive force. (list example between individuals).
3. Furthermore, the over emphasized loyalty, when extended to the relationship between individual and country (religion), also show as a negative power. (list example like bin laden).

To truly understand your own culture-no matter how you define it-requires personal knowledge of at least one other culture, one that is distinctly different from your own.

1. Only through the comparison with other cultures, could people realize and then better understand certain aspects of their own culture that they may take for granted or overlooked in the past.
2. Many cultures share the same value in some specific fields, by learning the other cultures, especially how the common value is fulfilled under different backgrounds, will help people to understand their own culture better.
3. With the rapid development of globalization, there shows a trend of merge of different cultures. Learning about other cultures will help people better know about the direction of their own culture.

As we acquire more knowledge, things do not become more comprehensible, but more complex and more mysterious.

1. Many times, things show easier to be understood just because people don’t know how complex they would be, limited by the knowledge we have, not because of the simple essential of things.
2. The more we learn about things and the more knowledge we hold, we’ll see more aspects of one thing and also dig deeper into every aspect, thus, things show to be more complex and more mysterious.
3. On the other hand, though things show to be more complex and mysterious as we learn more, we are at a new stage of understanding.
