extract the compressed .RAR files

I wonder who can give an instruction on how to extract the compressed .RAR files.
I tried archiver directly, but it seems not work.

Do you agree or disagree:
It is important to know events happening around the world, though sometimes they are unlikely to affect your daily life.

Some people think it important to know every events happening around the world, even if they are unlikely to affect his daily life. I strongly disagree.
First of all, an individual’s time and energy are very limited. And the world is so huge that every day there are hundreds of thousands of events occurring. You may find it out just turn your ears to the CNN news. It is journalists and photographers to know what are happening and reported, though sometimes their news is not accurate. Face to the flooding information about the various events, tt is impossible for one to know all events around the world.

Second, we need a big variety of professionals to take care of different events. A person with very limited knowledge, perhaps gained from a conversation, is not able to deal with complicated situations. For example, processing a traffic accident may need expert in law (attorney, law enforcement againt), medical care (physicians or nurses), and insurance policy make.

In combination, our society requires one to focus on his/her major. That needs invest in time and energy. it limit one in the development of knowledge in other fields. To know all event is impossible and of little use. Based on above I am in favor of concentration on one’s own job, left most of other events behind.
