It is a vital duty for a national educational system to arrange the curriculum. For pursuit of effective education, whether nation should require all its students to study the same national curriculum until entering college instead of allowing the schools in different regions the freedom to choose the own curriculum. I strongly agree the suggestion to some extent. However, at the same time, the individual states and communities can decide the arrangement by certain cases.

To begin with, the uniform curriculum has benefit not only to all students but whole educational system. First, the same national curriculum can ensure the effective educational quantity. The every student will accept the systematic training and basic knowledge background, such as logic, writing, reading, analyze. Without these abilities, no one can ensure students can finish their continued courses in colleges. Second, when they enter into the college, they can also comprehend their professors’ ideas and concepts, which need to be understood as the elementary knowledge as the basis. Also, the professors and faculties will be easily to design the college curriculum and comply the materials. In short, a same curriculum will show its efficient and satisfy desire and interest of all students

Moreover, as the greater numbers of students enrolled in schools, education has become a powerful and social force. As to reach the goal of efficient and size of schools, a large deal of centralizing education has been appeared and strict standard mechanism has been established. Education, as a streamlined chain of administrative system, asks for centralizing organization and uniform curriculum.

However, individual states and communities may have unique circumstance and financial support, which to large extent result from the difference between interstates and communities. As the educators, they must consider how curriculum will satisfy the students’ need. After all there has been poverty and prosperity in different states and communities, which attribute to the different distribution of educational funding. From one hand, many large numbers students have no chance to continue education in college because of economical issues and family issues, and have to seek for careers in society. Therefore, educators should support some training program to guarantee them to own special skills. From another hand, local educational systems need to protect local cultural characteristic and tradition in order to prevent them on disappearing. Such as folk art, and ancient language and music, the culture need be inherited by offspring. Perhaps there are other reasons for authorizing the local education to determine the different courses. However, all needs should be combined with the local special circumstance in order to satisfy the different request both nation and states and communities.

To sum up, education’ goal is to cultivate the general education and make every enjoy the right of education. So it is very important to balance the relation between nation and states.
