Topic214:In each city in the region of Treehaven, the majority of the money spent on government-run public school education comes from taxes that each city government collects. The region's cities differ, however, in the value they place on public education. For example, Parson City typically budgets twice as much money per year as Blue City does for its public schools—even though both cities have about the same number of residents. It seems clear, therefore, that Parson City residents care more about public school education than do Blue City residents.
2.1  1.5h  513words)

Although it seems that the arguer has made an excellent argument by judging residents' care about public school education considering the quantity of taxes used on it, his/her conclusions are based on a series of unsustainable assumptions, which I am going to point out as follows.

First of all, the arguer has not provided the firm evidence that the total quantities of taxes are the same in each city, thus the argument completely unconvinced. Take the example quoted by the author into consideration. Because we do not know whether total taxes are almost the same in two cities, we cannot conclude that P City cares more about public education just by showing that it budgets twice as much money per year as B City for public schools. It is of much possibility that P City always enjoys much better living conditions than B City, and most of residents are much richer. In such case, of couse it has much more budgets on public education available. However, the percentage of its money on education in total is much smaller than that in B City. On the other hand, B City may spend most of its taxes on public education, despite still half less than P City. Obviously, B City cares about its public education much more.

Additionaly, the arguer has assumed that all the taxes are paid willingly, which may not exactly so. As we know, taxes are money paid forcibly by government, while residents may not a bit want to pay for it. For example, it is possible that residents in P City really hate spending most of their taxes on public education as the government does, but their standpoints are completely ignored by governmental leader. If so, how can we say that P City residents care more about public education? Oppositely, they may pay least attention to it. For that matter, if we really wish to get to know the true feeling of residents, detailed surveys are necessarily needed.

Still, the arguer has not showed us what all these budgets for public education are used for and what is the exact condition of education in each city, which may largely affect the conclusion. For example, most of budgets of public education in P City are used for building fantastic classrooms, while experimental conditions and teaching qualities are not sufficiently improved. So the true quality of education received by students is not so good. Or maybe the tuition schools acquire is much higher, therefore, a large number of children are not able to get into school. Namely, the purpose for government or residents to cost so much money on public education is just to make more money or let schools look more amazing outside, instead of improve the quality and effectivity of education. Then we cannot conclude that P City cares about public education more.

In conclusion, the arguer fails to improve most of assumptions its argument are based on, so his/her argument cannot be fully accepted. In order to get the truth, we should take much more investigations to make a stronger standpoint.

Although it seems that the arguer has made an excellent argument by judging residents' care about public school education considering the quantity of taxes used on it, his/her conclusions are based on a series of unsustainable assumptions, which I am going to point out as follows.

First of all, the arguer has not provided the firm evidence that the total quantities of taxes are the same in each city, (; 查到的都是用分号) thus the argument completely unconvinced. Take the example quoted by the author into consideration.(感觉上和前后句如果没有连接词关系比较僵硬) Because we do not know whether total taxes are almost the same in two cities, we cannot conclude that P City cares more about public education just by showing that it budgets twice as much money per year as B City for public schools. It is of much possibility that P City always enjoys much better living conditions than B City, and most of residents are much richer. In such case, of couse(course) it has much more budgets on public education available. However, the percentage of its money on education in total is much smaller than that in B City. On the other hand, B City may spend most of its taxes on public education, despite (看不太懂,是想说taxes still half less than P?) still half less than P City. Obviously, B City cares about its public education much more.

Additionaly(Additionally), the arguer has assumed that all the taxes are paid willingly, which may not exactly so(may so这种用法没查到,which may be not exact). As we know, taxes are money paid forcibly by government(税收是政府来支付的?逻辑关系好像搞反了), while residents may not a bit want to pay for it. For example, it is possible that residents in P City really hate spending most of their taxes on public education as the government does(不太懂,as the government does 什么?如果改成but the government does呢?), but their standpoints are completely ignored by governmental leader. If so, how can we say that P City residents care more about public education? Oppositely, they may pay least attention to (on) it. For that matter, if we really wish to get to know the true feeling(feelings) of residents, detailed surveys are necessarily needed.

Still, the arguer has not showed us what all these budgets for public education are used for and what is the exact condition of education in each city, which may largely affect the conclusion. For example, most of budgets of public education in P City are used for building fantastic classrooms, while experimental conditions (condition 不明白为什么复数) and teaching qualities are not sufficiently improved. So the true quality of education received by students is not so good. Or maybe the tuition schools acquire is much higher(because of the fantastic classrooms), therefore, a large number of children are not able to get into school.
