In today’s world, practicality plays an more and more important role in the society, and becomes our great idol, which all powers and talents must serve. Practicality are respected to have considerable merit to most areas of human endeavor---including education, the arts, politics. However, I do not think that practicality can go on well in the scientific research.

Practicality are the mainstream of the modern education and also the purpose of the liberation in education. In modern China, more and more schools give up the antiquated education and begin to teach the students practical knowledge in order to get ready for the competition in such age which is full of practicality. Arts education and other such courses, which are ostensible to be less practical value, are replaced by the courses with more practical, such as computer technology, driving and so on. Undoubtedly, a great number of students go for a further education after graduation, and MBA becomes the most popular degree, which is the model of the practicality.

Not only in the education but also in the arts area, practicality effects people’s judgment. The classic music is decreasing day by day, more and more pop, hip-pop, and such music which is popular in the group aged from 15 to 35 because this group pays so much money for these c-dises but not for classic ones. Practicality makes the music corporation publish mush more pop music instead classic music to earn the more benefit. During the book store, more and more how-to-do books enter our eyes, which means that people consider practicality such high value in our lives. in now days, artists do not create works of high artistic value and integrity but create the work which can be popular and can earn big benefit.

Practicality is considered to be the first problem during the politics. The politicians seem drivern today by their interest in elected and reelected in their short-term survivals. Thus politicians do not care about how to let the country develop more quickly or how can the citizens live in a more peaceful, more convenient society but care about how he can get the biggest benefit during his survivals. Idealists, such as Lincoln, Martin Luther King, are less and less. Even if without Lincoln, the blacks might still be slaves, and without Martin, the American society might judge people by his color more seriously, in now days, politicians are less idealist but more pragmatists.

However such appearances above do not appear much in science. Still some research are carried out in order to make our live more comfortable and get practical value, so many research are long-term work. They are for the further purpose even we could not get the benefit from them right now but them are necessary.

In sun, maybe in so many area such as education, the arts, politics we consider practicality so mush, but not every place should we serve it well. There are many things that are not obviously practical have much value in today's world
