I don't agree that all nations should give great contribution to found such a university. In contemporary society, various universities and colleges have been developed all over the world. The fields that these universities concerned almost have covered all areas, from philosophy to science and technology, from business to sociology, which are cared about by our human being. But, hundreds of years have [past] passed since the first modern university [has been] were established, and no global university [which] that, 印象中高中语法这么讲的,限定词前面有only,no之类时,只能用that [engaged] engages its students in the process of solving the world's most persistent social problems has been founded till now. Why? 第一段写的很好啊
Firstly, it is an impossible mission. Given that such university [would be] were developed, who would be in charge of this university? Which country would give more funds to support it?这句写的有点生硬,中式英语 Which nation did it belong to? There are so many administrative and political problems that the participant nations would confronte去掉d. It is entirely possible that no social problem has been solved and new problems, such as endless debates among nations, appear during the development of such university. Empirical experiences tell us that these impediments are not easily to overcome; otherwise there would not be so many negotiations in United Nations UN, which is probably the most similar organization to that university. 例子举的好!
Secondly, the fundamental functions of a university will probably be damaged by establishing such a global university, and persistent social problems can not been solved at the same time. As we all know, the goal of a university is to educate people and to impulse progress of societies. By establishing a university like that, we will take high risks of blocking certain researches, which have equal values with those social problems, with the official interventions. Moreover, social problems always involve governmental affairs, public focuses and historical perplexities and so on. How can we anticipate that the graduates from that global university can solve the complicated problems with the knowledge they have learned in the university?
Furthermore, as the social problems are quite different in different nations, the foundation of such university would attract too much attention [about] on the world's social problem, and then neglect the local one. We should strengthen the communications among nations, but not to develop such a global university to find best ways of solving social problems most concerned as well as the particular one看不明白这句话. All nations have gotten helpful experiences,作经验讲,不可数 when they were trying to solve their local social problems, and the share of these experience benefits solving not only the particular social problems in different countries, but also the most persistent social problems all over the world.
In sum, founding a global university like that is not a good idea concerning many involved issues being ignored. Base on adequate communications and the administrative or political impediments mentioned above being settled, we can discuss the possibility of development of such global university. |
