——正文——
Comparing with the critic, who comments on works of art, such as novels, films, music, paintings and so forth, the speaker claims that it is the artist that who gives society something of permanent value. As a matter of fact, I strongly agree that the artist holds a predominant position in contributing something that is highly valuable to society.

As an artist, who has talents of conveying his/her emotion by means of creating works of art, is the presenter bestowing the soul to his/her efforts. Based on the artist's insightful observation of life, works of art have the mission to reflect their creator's thought and feelings. Besides, never mind the artists express their ideas in the way of implication or frankness, the innate value has been attaching to the work as soon as it is born, which will never decline along with the time moving forward. Moreover, the uniqueness of each piece of art, which distinguishes other counterparts by its own exclusive style, can assist to raise the value of its own. For instance, the charming smile of Mona Lisa, in the masterpiece of which drawn by the mogul of art--Da Vinci, has been captivating the whole world for centuries. It is not only because the celebrity of its creator, but also determined by its uniqueness--as there is only one Mona Lisa, and only one peerless smile of Mona Lisa was caught and portrayed. Therefore, the core values of any pieces of art are likely to lie on their own dispositions.

In spite of the worth of artistic works is inborn, the critic, who has accepted certain systematic cultivation for evaluating works of art, may probably influence works' value in the market. Since critics have relatively profound knowledge in the field of art as they are experienced in assessment, they can offer references to the public, who mostly are laypeople. It is also a quick way for people to pick out fascinating works of art for appreciation from the crowd, as critics can serve as a filter which sifts dregs away. Meanwhile, the comments provided by those critical experts are always regarded as feedback to the artist's work, which could facilitate the artist to advance.

Nevertheless, the critiques sometimes are misleading, for the art critic's viewpoints are restricted by the narrow confines of aged and established parameters for evaluation. Although this misinterpretation may result in burying a great work of art for a period of time, the valuable masterpieces of art will be unearthened and give off the radiance at last. It is can aptly exemplified by the following case. Beethoven, the extraordinary musician who created a myriad of remarkable musical compositions, had been disapproved by his early listeners, accustomed to the predictable harmonies and melodic lengths of Haydn, dismissed his symphonies as literally causing their ears to hurt. Those listeners judged Beethoven's music by banal dogmas, hence unfortunately missed more chances to enjoy the talented musician's works. However, the genuine gold is not afraid of fire, and the muddy things would never cover its glitter. So does the artists' preeminent works--the everlasting values they bring to society would never fade.

To sum up, in the process of creating perpetual value to the society, the artists occupy the superior state as they fundamentally determines their creatures' nature, while critics, who just provisionally effect the popularity of works of art, play a subordinate role. In another word, it is the artist brings society something eternal value ultimately.

However(该用after all比较好吧), the genuine gold is not afraid of fire, and the muddy things would never cover its glitter. In spite of the worth of artistic works is inborn,(Although the worth of artistic works is inborn,亲爱的,我实在看不惯你总用in spite of后面接句子,in spite of /despite 后面只能接名词,接句子的话一定用although,你的其他文章里也有这种错误,记得改啊^_^) the critic, who has accepted certain systematic cultivation for evaluating works of art, may probably influence works' value in the market. Since critics have relatively profound knowledge in the field of art as they are experienced in assessment, (多余哦)they can offer references to the public, who mostly are laypeople.
