1 First of all, individual responsibility is necessary even indispensable. Only when individuals are held accountable for their actions and choices, a society can develop harmoniously.
Many political, social as well as familial problems result from the lack of a sense of individual responsibility.  
2 Admittedly, I concede that external forces influence individual actions. and people’s own making determined people’s behavior. However, whether forces or own making plays a more important role? As far as I concerned, it is own making not force.
3 However, for most cases, own making plays a more important role in determining people’s actions.

I agree with the speaker’s first contention that the concept of individual responsibility is necessary, but I disagree with the speaker’s second contention that it is the force not own making that largely determined people’s actions.

First of all, individual responsibility is necessary even indispensable in a society. Only when individuals are held accountable for their actions and choices, a society can develop harmoniously. Otherwise, the society would be involved into chaos and disorder. In fact, many political, social as well as familial problems result from the lack of a sense of individual responsibility. One leader who lacks of this responsibility of working for public benefits is more likely to make these actions of corruption and grafts for his/her own sake. One citizen who lacks of responsibility of maintaining public order is more likely to make trouble in public places. One father who lacks of responsibility of taking care of his children is more likely to abandon his children and let him/her alone. In short, everyone should be responsible for his/her responsibility.
Admittedly, I concede that external forces influence individual actions. Because we always live in some certain environment, more or less, the outside environment would bring effects to us to some degree. Parents’ expectation, teachers’ rigorous demands cause us study hard. Boss’s order and company’s regulation make us complete our assignment before deadline. All in all, in our everyday life, our actions always be influenced by outside forces. In addition, consider the example of German soldiers’ action of killing European Jews .During the world war II ,German soldiers slain millions of people ,especially European Jews.It is no doubt that these soldiers’ action is closely relative with Hitler’s order. Without Hitler’s order, I believe these solders would never do this brutal action. Therefore, from our day-by-day life and some famous historical events, we can find that outside force impact human’s action.

However, for most cases, not the force but own making determines people’s actions. If one hold firmly viewpoint or belief in his mind ,what ever circumstance he/she is in, he/she never changes his mind and does actions which disobey his/her inner belief. Recalling history, it was repleted with examples which can illustrate this point. Bruno’s example aptly illustrates this point. When Burno faced with threaten of being burned, he still persisted in his theory of an infinite universe. When martin luther king faced with death, he still was adhere to his idea. Finally, he was murdered. Similarly, consider the example I mentioned in the former paragraph .Under parents’ wishes and teachers’ demands, we study hard. However, if we have no this conception that parents and teachers are right and we should conform to their directions, perhaps their words bring no effects to own study. Thus, it is own making not the force that ultimately determine our actions.

In sum, as a member of society, we should insist on “individual responsibility”. The conception of “individual responsibility “ is important and indeed exists in the word around us. At the same time, the determining factor for our action is largely own making not force.
