Issue 17 Position disagreement "There are two types of laws: just and unjust. Every individual in a society has a responsibility to obey just laws and, even more importantly, to disobey and resist unjust laws."
A To begin with, law’s justice or injustice is different to each individual. Some laws may seem justice to some people, which may totally reverse to other people. If people all resist the law which unjust to themselves,  the society would come into chaos.
B In addition, the fairness of law mostly depends on personal interest. After all, in a democratic country, the main function of laws is to strike a balance among competing interest.
C Finally, as society is progressing, laws also need to change in order to meet the demand of the present society.
D Admittedly, laws present most part of people’s interest and make a lot of contribution to the society. Wise people should first think about the interest to whole society which brought by laws. A peaceful country is a premise of just laws.

Laws are set up to enhance the peace of a country. It plays a key role to regulate the relationship between individual and society. Many people may sincerely believe that to obey just law and resist unjust law is a obligation of citizen. However, one does not have to go very far to see that different society has different situation and laws influence people differently in daily life. As far as I concerned, it’s not proper to request people to simply obey just law or resist unjust law if certain condition are not thoroughly considered.

To begin with, law’s justice or injustice is different under different situation. Some laws may seem justice to some people, which may totally reverse to other people. If people all resist the law which is unjust to them, the society would come into chaos. Polygamy was legal in ancient China. At that time, most men thought that was justice whereas it is injustice to women. The justice and injustice of law also vary according to the country and the level of its development. Take the law of abortion for example; different countries have their own policy on this issue. So abortion is legal in some country while in other country means you break the law. Just as the

In addition, the fairness of law mostly relate to personal interest. After all, in a democratic country, the main function of laws is to strike a balance among competing interest. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 18th century French political philosopher said, “A democratic society the state represents the general will of the citizens, and that in obeying its laws each citizen is pursuing his own real interests.”

Finally, as society is progressing, laws also need to change in order to meet the demand of the present society. Everything is changing including laws. Thomas Jefferson, the America president saying, “No society can make a perpetual constitution, or even a perpetual law.” Each 5 year in China, the government would make a change in constitution which is settled by people from different social field. What’s more, changed laws bring new problems that it is unjust to a different part of people.

Admittedly, laws present most part of people’s interest and make a lot of contribution to the society. Wise people should first think about the interest to whole society which brought by laws. A peaceful country is a premise of just laws. Without just laws freedoms is dangerous, and nobody can gain real freedom if they didn’t obey the laws of their own nation. The goal of laws is same that to ensure people lead a peaceful life and live in a fair environment.

All in all, since the original use of laws is to balance competing interest, reasonable people under different situation will always call in question of the justice of same specific laws. However, in any event, disobedience is never reasonable when the legal rights or life safety of innocent people are offended as a result.
Make myself and people around me Happy each day!!!

Laws are set up to enhance the peace of a country. It plays a key role to regulate the relationship between individual and society. Many people may sincerely believe that to obey just law and resist unjust law is a(an) obligation of citizen. However, one (does not have to go very far 是说人很容易发现的意思吗?have 换成need会不会好点?) to see that different society(societies) has different situations and laws influence people differently in daily life. As far as I concerned, it’s not proper to request people to simply obey just law or resist unjust law if certain conditions are not thoroughly considered.

To begin with, law’s justice or injustice is different under different situation. Some laws may seem justice to some people, which may totally reverse to other people. If people all resist the law which is unjust to them, the society would come into chaos(主题句不错啊). Polygamy was legal in ancient China. At that time, most men thought that it was justice whereas it is(was) injustice to women(调侃一句,那时侯的女生可没觉得不合理啊:)). The justice and injustice of law also vary according to the country and the level of its development. Take the law of abortion for example; different countries have their own policy on this issue. So abortion is legal in some country while in other country it means you break the law. Just as the

In addition, the fairness of law mostly relates to personal interest. After all, in a democratic country, the main function of laws is to strike a balance among competing interests. Jean-Jacques Rousseau, 18th century French political philosopher said, “A democratic society of(我不确定…) the state represents the general will of the citizens, and that in obeying its laws each citizen is pursuing his own real interests.”

Finally, as society is progressing, laws also need to change in order to meet the demand of the present society. Everything is changing including laws. Thomas Jefferson, the America president saying, “No society can make a perpetual constitution, or even a perpetual law.” Each 5 year in China, the government would make a change in constitution which is settled by people from different social fields. What’s more, changed laws bring new problems that it is unjust to a different part of people(最后一句没有得到支持啊。。。。).

Admittedly, laws present most part(个人觉得用majority比较好) of people’s interest and make a lot of contribution to the society. Wise people should first think about the interest to whole society which is brought by laws. A peaceful country is a premise of just laws. Without just laws freedoms is dangerous(读起来有点不太地道), and nobody can gain real freedom if they didn’t(don’t) obey the laws of their own nation(if后面这句话语气可以再强点). The goal of laws is same that to ensure people lead a peaceful life and live in a fair environment. (最后一句有点不搭,尤其是那个same)

All in all, since the original use of laws is to balance competing interest, reasonable(可以用来形容人么?) people under different situations will always call in question of the justice of same specific laws(这句我不太懂). However, in any event, disobedience is never reasonable when the legal rights or life safety(有这个搭配么) of innocent people are offended as a result.
