提纲:
3.   总结
例子: 1 Jordan J·K·Rowling( harry potter’ author), Roosevelt, Franklin Delano
2   quantum theory Einstein Bohr ,   Van Gogh Napoleon Bonaparte

The speaker asserts that the greatness of a person must be affirmed by those who live after them. At the first glance, this opinion seems somewhat appealing. However, it ignores the fact that every individual’s performance can not only influence our society in a long term, but also become recognizable in its nascent stages. The final judgement of greatness should depend on a case-by-case analysis.
In some areas, the greatness can be judged at face value. Let’s see an example in sports, Michael Jordan, the brightest basketball star in NBA, has been recognized as the greatest star in the history of basketball even several years before he retired. There is nothing to be further affirmed of improved upon, since his unbelievable skills and achievements have already been impressed in everyone’s memory. The same phenomenon also exists in literature. For instance, no one knows J K Rowling, the author of “Harry Potter”, when she was unfamous. But only two years after her novel’s publication, she came to be the best-selling author in the world and was honored one the most successful women in the world. Furthermore, we can take a glance at political realm. As the president of America and commander of USA army, Roosevelt was heavily responsible for lifting American’s economic out of the doldrums during the 1930’s and the victory of the country in World War II. No matter what happened before or after his period, his significance was definitely affirmed when he was alive. In these realms, people usually can justify a man’s greatness immediately, no need to waiting for their later generations.
Nevertheless, the greatness that may affect the economics, sciences, art, and community over a long period of time must be justified in retrospect by people who follow them. First, it is evitable for the greatness of a science theory to be proved by further knowledge behind it. When quantum theory, one of the greatest theories in 20th century, was brought out by Bohr and other scientists in 1910’s, it had to be faced with vigorous censures, among which there was even Einstein’s suspicion. After decades of development, even if it has received massive attestation by theory and experiments, the quantum theory is still under challenged by some physicists nowadays. Our history is also replete with such examples of artistic greatness, which were not accepted in their eras, but got confirmation in future times. Van Gogh, one of the greatest artist in history, whose works have a far-reaching effect on modern fashions of painting over hundreds of years, didn’t got any praise or recognition from his contemporaries. Last but not lease, with the benefit of historical perspective, the greatness of significant personages in our society could be evaluated impartially. Though Napoleon Bonaparte brought his country and the whole Europe heavy damage and thousands of war victims, we still admit his greatness for his strike on decadent social system which leaded to the reform of society in next decades of years.
To sum up, the speaker ignores many greatnesses, particularly in sports, literature and politics, which can be recognized in their own time. From what have been discussed above, we can finally draw the conclusion that in different areas, the greatness of individuals can be recognized by their contemporaries, while in others, the greatness can be fairly affirmed only by time.

The speaker asserts that the greatness of a person must be affirmed by those who live after them. At the first glance, this opinion seems somewhat appealing. However, it ignores(这个词带有贬义的故意忽略,换用neglect) the fact that every individual’s performance can not only influence our society in a long term, but also become recognizable in its nascent stages. The final judgement of greatness should depend on a case-by-case analysis.
In some areas, the greatness can be judged at face value. Let’s(书面避免出现缩写) see an example in sports, Michael Jordan, the brightest basketball star in NBA(take Michael Jodan, the brightest basketball star ub NBA, as an example in sports), has been recognized as the greatest star in the history of basketball even several years before he retired. As the president of America and commander of USA army, Roosevelt was heavily responsible for lifting American’s economic out of the doldrums(depression比较常见) during the 1930’s and the victory of the country in World War II. No matter what happened before or after his period, his significance was definitely affirmed when he was alive. In these realms, people usually can justify a man’s greatness immediately, no need to waiting for their later generations.

(例子比较充分,但是分析欠缺,比如可以说说为什么这些方向会很快知道)

Nevertheless, the greatness that may affect the economics, sciences, art, and community over a long period of time must be justified in retrospect by people who follow them. First, it is evitable(inevitable) for the greatness of a science theory to be proved by further knowledge behind it. Van Gogh, one of the greatest artist in history, whose works have a far-reaching effect on modern fashions of painting over hundreds of years, didn’t got any praise or recognition from his contemporaries. Last but not lease(least), with the benefit of(in) historical perspective, the greatness of significant personages in our society could be(chould have been) evaluated impartially.
语言还需要提炼,有些晦涩/
论证不充分,有点例子的拼凑,深度不够。

多谢,一语道破,我现在确实感觉词汇和句子的能力比较欠缺,所以想用例子来拼凑。。。多看点范文
