TOPIC: ISSUE130 - "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

Some may argue that ,as the author claims ,the socialization of the children will determine the future of the society while till now we have not learn how to raise our children.Albeit this point of view may have some merit , I can not quite agree with it for it overemphasize the function of the socialization and underestimate our accomplishment in educating our offsprings. What I hold is the opinion that the socialization is the significant but not the single factor to the future of the society and we have gain some improvement of the education.

On the one hand,the socialization of the children is one of the key factor contributed to the progress of the society.How well the children adapt to the society plays important role in the self-fulfilment and thus greatly influence the society.For example,one of the outstanding student in his schooling may complain  about and be frustrated by his failure in his employment,which he may attibute to the environment of the company that undermine his potencial.While what he overlook is his lack of the ability to communicate and cooperate with others ,the torlerance of the setbacks, and  about how to deal with his relationship with his collegues ,which we view as the ability of rapid socialization .Unless he has make sense of his disadvantage he will never make progress during his working period and he will be no longer expected to make huge contribution to the society.So no matter how excellent his performance in school,when he step into the society he need to be adapt it soon.

On the other hand ,the socialization alone can not make the determination of the fortune of the society which it should be added with education, both from the family and the school, as the  basis of one's achivements.When a kid is in the process of developing his minds,enhancing his abilities and forming his own values he or she spends most of the time in his or her family or school.This serves as the foundmental contribution for one's final success while the socialization is no more than another stimulus.Imagine the student mentioned above ,the assumption that once he develop his abilities to socialize himself he will be successful is based upon his excellent performance in the schools.He can never regarded as the candidate of the successor unless he has a solidate basis.

And for people,there are evidence that we have somewhat learned how to raise contributable sons and daughters for the many elite persons' existence in the society.For example,the famous writer and the poet ,when he was young he was adopted by his father,who always brought him to different places to boarden his knowledge and taught him various kinds of languages.When he retrospect his life after he had gained his reputation he emphasize his childhood as one of the most determinate period to his final accomplishment.Many other cases are exist which clearly demonstrate the perspective that albeit the flaws and drawbacks in our education now,someone do have make sense of how to bring up his offspring.


To sum up,the author's contention is without thorough thought.The socialization now can not be the single factor to be depended on for the prediction of our society.And in the presence of the famous people who are also conducted by their parents or teachers,we are undoubtablely have get the idea to raise the children.
