Should all nations participate in the development of a global university? The speaker claims that it is the responsibility of all nations to support a global university in order to engage students better solving the world's most persistent social problems. From my perspective, it is true that developing a global university is to some extent beneficial to the whole world(感觉应该换一下语感好些is beneficial to the whole world to some extent); however, the feasibility and efficiency of a global university is still open to doubt.
Admittedly, a global university is effective in the process of solving some stubborn problems of the world. Take epidemic horrible AIDS for an example, which spell problems for almost every nation in the world. If there is a global university for students and experts from all nations to communicate and cooperate directly with respect to the medical education as well as global aid, then the detriment brought by AIDS, a global prevailing disease, will be controlled to the minimum as we expect. In one word, it is advantage to account for(“说明”的意思?) some problems by means of a global university under some circumstances.
However, on the other hand, a multitude of questions should be taken into account in reference to a global university. As we know, students from different nations are diverse in a great deal of aspects, such as family background, education experiences, ethnical religion, etc, which will , of course(out of question, which will result….), result in significant diverges concerning complicated global problems. The feminism is a case in point. Students from America or Europe may highly praise it, to the contrary(to the contrary 一般放在句尾,on the contrary多放在句中?), students who are Moslems will find feminism incomprehensible and unacceptable as a result of the belief that female is inferior to male. Therefore, with the different opinions in terms of the status of male, the lasting problem of sex discrimination is hard to resolve through discussing and debating of the students who are in a global university. What’s more, consider some problems which are beneficial to some nations while negative to others, it seems that students with different angles are unlike to agree on.(最后一句还可以说说)
In addition, for the purpose of solving the most persistent social problems, there are a host of effective solutions other than developing a global university. For example, governments of all nations apply themselves to accelerate the intercourse and cooperation with each other in politics, economy, culture and other areas. As long as all nations are cognizant of the significance to communicate and cooperate with others, to cultivate students who are holding rational world views and insightful understanding as well, whether there is a global university or not if(is?) of less importance.
All in all, in my point of view, although a global university is helpful to facilitate the solution of some stubborn problems of the world, however, it is not practical and feasible at the time being result from the fundamental diversity of all nations(being result from好像有问题,用非限制性定语从句the time, which result….?). Instead, countries should contribute to the process of cultivating more students with outstanding abilities and thoughts rather than thinking over to develop a global university.
有些论证可以稍微调整
总体来说很不错~
