The speaker asserts that all of the national students should be required to study the same curriculum up until college instead of allowing schools in different regions the freedom to decide on their own curricula. I agree insofar as some common core curriculum would serve useful purpose for any nation. At the same time, however, individual communities should have some freedom to augment any such curriculum as they see it fit, otherwise, a nation’s educational system might make not progress in the long term.

Admittedly, a national core curriculum would be beneficial to a nation in a number of respects. In the first place, by providing all children with fundamental skills and knowledge, a common core curriculum would help ensure that our children grow up to become reasonably informed, productive members to the society. In addition, a common core curriculum would provide a predictable foundation which college administrators and faculty could more easily build curricula for the freshmen.At the end, a core course curriculum would ensure that all schoolchildren are taught core values on which any democratic society depends on to thrive, and even survive-value such as tolerance of others with different viewpoints, and respects for others.

However, we should not neglect the negative effect that the educational system brings to our next generation. People with different background are likely to possess different preference on different subjects. If all of the a national students require to learn the same courses, this will preclude the some specialists emergence. The preference plays an important role in deciding their professions. For instance, in a middle school, if all of the students are required to study the same courses, this will a waste of time, and even cause students’ objection. After all, they are with different background and favorites. Therefore, teaching should consider the needs of the students, otherwise the education will failure. Any way, to make a engineering student to write lyric of a song is difficult for him. The most consideration in the process of education is to considering the favorites of all of students.

In addition, different places with the different culture and custom, so to make these places to learn the same courses is impossible. For example, in the NY, children at certain grades are required to learn about the great people who make the great contribution to the city, the local culture and the custom. However, the national curriculums should not included, and the children would be results to neglect the local culture, custom, and the famous people. This should not to say is the failure of the education.

In sum, a national curriculum is dispensable in make students to obtain basic knowledge. While, at the same time, the educators should not neglect the importance of other subjects which in considering the needs of the students, and the local education should also including. These are also significant in the process of the education. Therefore, to find a balance between both of them can make a better society.
