The celebration of Western Festivals
There are a large increasing number of people who are interested in celebrating the West Festivals such as the Valentine’s Day. And it isn’t difficult to find that great majority of them are young who know little Chinese Festivals. Obviously, this phenomenon, a centre of public attention, has been concerned by more and more people. In my opinion, there are at least three reasons. First and foremost, it’s the consequence of cultures mixed especially the integration with the global. Next, the youth consider that it’s fashion to celebrate the West Festivals with their friends. Furthermore, it’s a strange idea that many people may have, as people think that others’ always better than theirs. Paying too much attention to the West Festivals, we may reduce our care on the cultures of our own country which is harmful for developing our traditional cultures. If we do nothing, there will be many disappearances of Chinese Traditional Festivals which will result in the death of cultures.
