答案是B,at face value 是什么意思?是不是看表面?以貌取人?
2.Whether Charles in fact sent the email or did not to Rose is unclear,but the ltter would definitely haven given her morale a boost.
A.不变
B.Whether in reality Charles sent the email or did not
C.The actuality of the sending of the email by Charles
D.That Charles in fact sent the email
E.Charles, whether or not he sent the email
答案为D,总觉得D还是不通顺,我开始选了E的,为什么选D?

答案是D,我选了C,虽然觉得也不对,但是D为什么对?还是怪怪的啊?

这句话没错吗?but与nevertheless可以连用??
