If people won’t trade their cars in for bicycles, they can still be environmentally friendly by driving in groups the way bicyclists do. In your car, it’s called tailgating. It’s a terrible idea. But cyclists call it drafting, tagging right behind another bicycle to cut wind resistance, and therefore energy output. That’s a great idea. And an article in the new issue of the international journal of the Environment and Pollution theorized that an automated system that would let cars travel in very tight groups like bicycles do, would indeed save fuel, cut greenhouse gas emissions, and also cut highway congestion, especially with fast developing countries like China and India becoming home to huge numbers of new cars and roads. Obviously, driving in tight packs of cars isn’t currently a sensible option, but large distances between millions of more cars in the future may also not be a sensible option. And automated systems that would let a driver pull within a few feet of another car would have an additional benefit to both passengers and the environment, less road noise, which is another real drag.

回复 #1037 kelediguo 的帖子

I think you got all of it except "tucking in right behind another bicycle..." Tuck in is gather in, put in; like tucking in your shirt, tucking in your child (folding in their bed sheets when they go to sleep).

By the way, the collocation for tag is "tag along". "Tagging along right behind..." could make sense but he did not say this.   :)

7-13 60s'

American's problem of obesity is well known, and more and more cats and dogs are also suffering from obesity, now veterinaries found that another favored animals are endangered by serious health problems due to being just too fat---horses. Horses in Virginia were found to be experiencing big increasing cases of *. As conditions with collective tissue between ****, we got the resources Barbara. Researchers of the Virginia Maryland Regional College Veterinary Medicine theorize that the **'s increase might be related to academic obesity, which could bring about chronic inflammation of another deleterious conditions. So they examine 300 horses randomly chosen from over 100 farms during the summer of 2006, and they found that just over half 51% were either overweight or obese and for the same reasons of people---too many calories and too little exercise. The horses may not be overeating though. Modern pastoral plant materials were themselves bred to help foraging animals like cattle pack the weight on faster, looks like horses may have been cowed into becoming fat.
