TOPIC: Distance learning and online computer classes should replace classroom learning

TEXT:
    I don't agree with the statement. I don't think that it's a good thing to replace classroom learning with distance learning and online computer classes.
    As we live in a information society, the appreance of distance learning and online classes give lots of conveniences to people who don't have enough time to attend traditional learning. They could use computer or wireless communications to learn what they want.However, classroom learning shouldn't be replaced. The first reason: we have already got used to the method through thousand of years. it's a very difficult thing to change people's traditions. It's just like
culture, we just can't simply change it.
    The second reason is if we live in poor area, we won't have enough money to buy necessary equipments to take online courses. If we live in mountainous area, it's difficult to get those equipments for its poor transportation. In both situations, classroom learning becomes a
efficeent and less expensive method.
    The third reason is students could learn how to cooperate & interact with others through classroom learning. When we take online courses or distance learnings, all the things we have to do is sitting down in front of your computer or TV, taking notes and doing execrises all by
yourself. You won't get a chance to interact with other people. Interaction & cooperation are important social skills for people to live in today's society. Without interaction, we don't know others' opinions. we couldn't communicate with others efficiently. Without cooperation, we can't overcome big problems all by oneself. For example, without cooperation, we won't have Suez canal which provides us lots of benefits. Therefore all of us have to learn to interact & cooperate with others. But online classes and distance learning couldn't provide us even a ting chance to develope those skills. Through classroom learning, a student is not alone anymore. He or she can discuss problems with other students or teacher. They could work out problems together and it's a good chance to develope one's social skills. I'm sure without those crucial social skills, one is not
capable to live in today's society. So, distance learning and online computer classes are just additions to classroom learning, instead of their substitutions.

Since the appearance of the internet,the application of distance learning has come into vogue quickly.Many schools and universities offer online class service and some people even claim that this kind of education will finally replaces classroom education. However ,i can not agree with it because both of them have their own advantages and which is better is only depends on the learners' individual conditions.
With its fast development,the vantages of distance education are conspicuous.One can take the courses online in a distant place without time restriction.it means the education could be run anywhere,and the equipments needed are just a computer and the internet access.The another merit of distance learning is that the learner are more free,he/she may do any other things when the courses take place.For example,while the professor is introducing the american history online,one can drink tea in sofa at the same time without offence to the teacher.If you already have a job and very busy,it is better for you to choose the online education as it saves your time and energy.
But the classroom education is also appealing to some students and seems to work more efficiently.The students in classroom are not only learning knowledge ,they are also be supervised by the teacher.Teacher in classroom plays a improtant role to keep students concentrating on the class.He/she may asks someone questions and frequently make an eye contact with students,which makes sure that no one would be distracted in class.It is not possible for online education. Besides,when learners are confronted with difficult problems in courses,they could consult the teacher immediately or go to the office after the class for a solution.It is helpful for the learners to thoroughly understand the courses and enhance their research abilities.
For those reasons above ,i sugguest the learners with enough time to take classroom education and others distance education.Distance learning and online computer classes should not repalce but company the classroom learning.
