Dear INS officer,

I am writing this letter to apply for a change of status from F-2 dependent
status to F-1 student status.

I came to U.S. to live with my husband,xxx.
Recently, I was admitted as a full time student 什么专业. 什么大学offered me a Graduate Assistantship to pay my all
tuition and fees, and stipend of $--- per month to support my living expenses.
Plus my savings, which is CNY--- (about $---), I have enough funds to support
my study and life in U.S. Please see the attached document for details.

From what I saw, read, and talked with my husband and friends, I realized that
the graduate programs of many American universities are better than those of
most Chinese universities, because many American universities have opening
academic and education thought, advanced facilities, and sufficient funding
support. Therefore, I believe that it is worthwhile to spend four years on
studying here. (EXPLAIN WHY YOU CHANGE YOUR IDEA, BECAUSE YOU CAME HERE NOT
FOR STUDY.)
