I agree that subjects such as art, music and drama should be a part of every child`s basic education. Scientists found that young children who study art and music in school do better in their other studies. That argument aside, we should study art, music and drama to learn more about ourselves, our culture and our world.

All of the three subjects stimulate children`s imaginations and let them express their emotion better than the children who do not study these subjects. The children who learn a lot of knowledge can express their feeling in varies of ways, such as singing a song ,drawing a picture, playing a character and so on. And they are better than just saying something. Because they are more personal and people are easily moved.

If children have some art lessons , they will have more interests to take their free time to art galleries and concerts. And this can improve their culture. Viewing art and listening
To the music are good ways to relax when children feel tired. When I feel sad or bad, I usually turn on the music and have a cup of coffer, lying in my bed or see a movie. I think these are all thanks to the art and music which bring me a good time.

In addition, art and music or drama give you modern life and you are not behind the world and chase the fashion. I can not image what the world would be like if there is no pop music, I think people`s life must be single and aridity. It must lose a lot of fun in my life.

Therefore, I suppose that studying art, music and drama in children`s basic education can be nothing but beneficial for the children. I do encourage and agree that all the children should make these part of their subjects.

As an impressive part in memory, they deserve remember these treasure gifts.

A small white with blue strips football laying in shelf is my most memorable present. It is a gift from my mother when I was ten years old. Thanks to France World Cup, football became the hottest sports in my school. I took it to school and played it with my classmates on court after class, then back home with nasty football gear. To me sweating with my teammates on court is joyful time. In addition, it is pleasure when I made many friends through games. Thus, the football was not just a gift rather than a gorgeous memory of football games and friendship.

Sometimes the gift exists in another type such as helps coming from a stranger. In other word, it could seem as a blessing gift from god. For example, the help from charity associations that scatter globally make great contributions on improving innumerable people in poverty. They donate billions of dollars on education to ensure children have as the same opportunity as us to receive formal compulsory education, besides they develop sanitation conditions to offer better medicine equipment in order to decrease the rate of death. Moreover, they invest much money on local basic construction such as expend transportation network, pipe drainage and build hospitals. Maybe it seems not a gift like football, but to some degree, it is the greatest gift to poor people. When they obtain good education they can enter in university to absorb more knowledge and find a decent job. When they receive better care in hospital, they would prolong their life. When transportation network expend, local economy would soar up.

Consequently, it is unfair and impossible to forget these gifts considering the potential influences on people. Despite, they looks trivial, they are still worthy of carving in their heart in case of forgetting to thanks to these kind people when they get succeed.

Adding some specific art classes in curriculum is highly necessary for students, since students have tired of boring lessons. Nevertheless, studying art could open people's mind and make them diverse. When one appreciates art works, one is exposed to many different cultures and ideologies across the world. It could expend one's horizon to make he could readily adapt to changing environment around him. In addition, culture is the base of one country and art is main part in culture. Consequently, creating some art work and music might contribute greater force to push society moving forward other than economic does.

And also in leisure time some people often prefer listening music or visiting museums to find inspirations for their career. That is to say, sometimes, art could inspire people to think out novelty ideas. For instance, Albert Einstein has said music helped him a lot while he formulating relative theory. Besides, to me, listening music is my first choice to relax. When I am exhausted, wearing headphone and immersing in music for a while is the most effective way to let me fresh back.

Currently, implement this policy in one country is quite reluctant especially in poor education areas and it is still a controversial issue in public. People with different intentions hold different perspectives. From my perspective, its strength could cover all aspects in many ways.      Art, music and drama will lead children to a world which is totally different with the realm of science. The irregular patterns with a kaleidoscope of color make children understand that besides the rigid reasoning, the compositions without any rules are also wonderful. Listening to some classical music will loose their nervous minds after long periods of memorizing monotonous formula. Taking a role in a drama and pretending to be someone else is really interesting experience, children can also learn to stand on others' positions and are willing to understand other people.
   
     In other respect, children may find some inspiration when they emerge themselves into the world of art, music and drama. Free forms of art will provide children with more spaces of imagination. Sometimes imagination is more important than knowledge itself. It is said that Einstein got the inspiration for his special theory of relativity when he was playing the violin. Cultivating children to develop their imagination is more important than just teaching them some abstract theories. Therefore, taking the courses are(is) very necessary for the children.  
    In short, children learn to appreciate the beauty of the world by participating the courses of art, music and drama, their lives are more colorful than that of without those.

In the lecture, the professor introduces some important happening in the long history of the human traveling. In the initial age, people traveled across the earth mainly for political reasons. The main purpose of the traveling is conquest and cultivation. The tourism on person is a modern form, and the tourism on person for adventure is a newer type. The old form of tourism is a conquest for material, and the new is for pleasure and personal growth. Aesthetic tourism is a new kind of culture tourism. It means tourist go to traditional village and home to observe social customs and crafts. This kind of tourism helps preserve the original culture being dangerous. At last, the lecturer introduces environmental tourism. It means go to place where few people have gone before. And the purpose is to learn the nature and wild life.
Some of the point made in the lecture is similar to the point explained in the paragraph. Both of the materials mention the cultural tourism. But the reading paragraph mainly explains the tourism for cultural, educational and scientific purposes, and take traveling of Hemingway as a example, but in fact this traveling is belong to the tourism for conquest purpose. This is the biggest different between this two material. The last different is that in the listening lecture the effect of the traveling was mentioned.

Some people think this action is helpful to children’s comprehensive development. Others think that this will reduce the already shrinking play time of the children, and it may cause some bad influence to children’s grow. As far as I was concerned, I think this type of subject should become elective course for the children. Not every child has to select the course by compulsory.
Firstly, every child has his/her own interest. Not all children have interest in art, music, drama. If these kinds of subjects become a part of every child’s basic education, it would constrain the development of some children. The children have to spend more time in these subjects even though they have no interest in these things. With so many required courses, the children have no time to find their own interests or have to given up their interests. Taken my nephew as a example, he is fond of football, but he have no time to play in the field because he had to study piano in the weekend. And the reason is that his teacher requires that each student has to learn at least one musical instrument. Even he has no interest in the piano he has to endure this torture. It is not means that the piano is bad but we should let the children to find their own interests in a loose environment.
Secondly, this compelling policy will make child lost their interests just in these subjects. Since the Chinese parents put too much emphasis on the scores, it would lead the parents sent their children into different kinds of art remediation class just for getting higher score in these subjects. The children are requested to practicing these subjects in all their off hours. All their play time are abolished just because these “interests”. The attitude they toward these subjects are negative. There is an old saying that the interest is the best teacher for our study. And when the children lost their interests in these subjects they can’t do well consequently.
It’s admitted that art, music, and drama can enhance children’s all-around development. But it not means that we have to make these subject a part of every child’s basic education. We can provide the children with the learning condition for these subjects. If the child have interests in these filed, we can give them further help in the study. For all the children, we should strive to satisfy the various needs of the children and provide the condition for children to develop their own interests.

It’s a global custom that we prefer to give and receive presents. We usually visit someone

’s home with present, give present for thanks to people who helped you before or receive

students complaining about they have less time and more homework to finish, so they spend

to despise the subject such as art, music and drama which (seems) unhelpful to the mark of

their final exam? The answer is definitely no(not?).

In the first place, art, music and drama offer some common topics to different kinds of

people. We live in the society. And communication plays an important role in our life. What

do you expect to communicate with your colleague? Math and physics obverse isn’t an option.

The elder said that people in different trade like separate by mountains.(隔行如隔山？在网上

没有找到，) It’s hard for me to start a conversation with the student(students) in

different major, but if we both crazy about rock music, we can talk about artist for hours

  Every child is encouraged to have balanced development in their study. Therefore, some subjects such as art, music and drama should be strongly recommended to be a part of every child's basic education.

     Art, music and drama will lead children to a world which is totally different with the realm of science. The irregular patterns with a kaleidoscope of color make children understand that besides the rigid reasoning, the compositions without any rules are also wonderful. Listening to some classical music will loose their nervous minds after long periods of memorizing monotonous formula. Taking a role in a drama and pretending to be someone else is really interesting experience,(;) children can also learn to stand on others' positions and are willing to understand other people.
   
     In other respect, children may find some inspiration when they emerge themselves into the world of art, music and drama. Free forms of art will provide children with more spaces of imagination. During our life time, we received many gifts for many different occasions, and by different people. But there is one thing in common—all of us are happy to receive gifts and, without doubt, remember them for long.

On one hand, some gifts remind us of great events happened in our lives. A birthday gift recalls happy time when we (are)at different ages. An anniversary gift looks back on every memorable event in the past year. (这句话的意思不明白)When we graduate—no matter we shall go further education or begin to work, we may receive gifts as well. These gifts are full of bless and great joy.  One of my most memorable gifts is a Bobby toy. Dan（Dad）and mom gave me the Bobby toy after I won the first prize on a rhythm gymnastic competition. I valued this gift not because of it was a Bobby toy which I yearned for a long time. I valued it because it embodied their inspiration and encouragement to me. Also, every time I look at the Bobby, it evokes that glory time.

On the other hand, some gifts become our precious memories about some people. For example, when I graduated from high school, my Chinese teacher gave me a card as a present. In the card, she wrote some word(s) to express good will to me and wish me have a promising future. Even after years, I can still remember, in the high school, how she taught me patiently at (with)the merely have a glimpse at this card.  Another case is a book, which written by one author I admire so much. Last year, I had an occasional(去掉，语义重复) chance to have a quick talk with him. After the conversation, he gave me the book as a gift. Apparently, this book records the exciting talk and the kindness he was （of him）. One more good case is a wallet I use now. It is a valentine gift given by my ex boyfriend. Although we have broken up for many reasons, the wallet always tells me we did have a happy time.

All of these special gifts we have received are signs of endless love and care or a symbol of invaluable of the one who has received it(?of the one who sents them). Therefore, they have a great value for us and become precious pieces of our memories.

Some people argue as if it is a general truth that subjects like art, music, and drama should be an indispensable part to every student. But to be very frank, I cannot agree with them. There are numbers reasons, and I would explore only a few primary ones here.

The main problem with this argument is that it is ignorant to the basic fact that not all the children are suitable for studying courses like art, music, drama and so on. It has already been accepted that the study of art need natural endowments. Take Mozart for example, he is a genius through and through. No one can with (deny)Mozart as a talented musician. We have to accept this sad truth that not every child has gift in art. Therefore, if parents or teachers compel children to do something that they (are)never willing to, adverse effect would occur.

Another reason why I disagree with the above statement is that considering these subjects to be a part of basic education, may seriously hinde(hinder sb. from doing sth.), r children to develop other aspect(s) of horizon(I"m not sure.),such as science, sports, etc. Although not every child has a gift in art, as I just discussed before(去掉), they may be superior in some other fields, such as mathematics, physics, philosophy and the list will go on. Newton is a good case to support this point of view. So, instead of driving children to study art, it is better for adults to learn children better, to find their real interests and advantages, and then, strengthen them.

What is more, based on our common senses, the tuition of these courses is expensive. Not every family can afford it. It is an inconvenient factor that attending to these classes may become heavy load of a family.

In a word, despite learning art can shape children’s character, I strongly believe that art-related courses needn’t to be every child’s basic education.

The lecture provides the additional specific information concerning the reason(s) people travel to distant lands. The reading passage indicates that people have traveled across the earth for many different reasons.

The reading passage first points out purpose(s) of long distant traveling in history, like searching for resources to live on, religions pilgrimages, trade expansion and colonization. These activities are also a spur to tourism expansion. Later travelers had trips for cultural, educational and scientific (purposes or resons), and even later, for adventure.

The professor echoes these facts, and then further discusses the influence on tourism by Ernest Hemingway. He also talks about some changes in tourism today. He says that tourists today having trips are for pleasure and recreation rather than conquering or controlling the natural. Nowadays, many new kinds of tourisms come out. One is the ethnic tourism and another is environmental tourism. Both of these are natural-friendly and harmless to wild life.（如果能把两部分内容融合起来就更好了，这一点大家都需要努力）

1.很有条理和逻辑，晚上运动更多选择，还可以冲澡。语速也不错。
