When we see a white paper without any flaw but a black spot, we often focus on the flaw much seriously than the other area without blemish. 这句前面说without any flaw,后面说focus on the flaw有点没有构思好 It is just like the fact that people often pay more attention to scandals to famous individuals no matter how many contributions they have made to the society. Actually, scandals do help people know much deeper and more comprehensively about the society, the politicians and the famous stars or academicians, about 后面这四个是并列的么,连接的怪怪的 however, there are too many scandals existing that do not describe the fact and confuse people’s mind.
It is true that scandals expose some facts that cannot be seen in other ways for speakers or governors often prevent telling some real events and conditions which concerning their political or academic activities, especially when these behaviors are not normal and justified. However, when a person became famous or popular to society, medias media是medium的复数,没有medias often pay much attention to their private communication, their negative aspect which Is not exposed to the public, their ignominious thoughts and actions under the ground, all of which describe a more real and objective image of these famous individuals to the populace. It is because the scandal of the pre-president of America—Bill Clinton, who had sexual affection sexual affection? 确定?可以这样用么with his secretary Monica Lewinsky, that let Americans have a comprehensive understanding about their president besides his handsome and dignity when standing on the platform. It is due to the scandal of the super basketball star—Michael Jordan, who likes gambles and the failure of marriage by divorcing with his thirteen years’ wife, that helps the fans of Jordan have a more disinterested judgment on their idols. Therefore, scandals play an important role in help people keep a clearer mind and know the truth of some events and famous individuals.
Scandals can also help governors, academicians and super stars in every area to be more careful and restrictive about their actions and deals. Because scandals often damage their contributions which they have done before and make them notorious in the society, famous individuals usually fear of making any scandals and are forced to improve their public performance. For instance, a mayor will restrict people to bribe him or her and make decisions impartially only considering the effect produced to the city. A professor will do researches and experiments exactly and accord to the true results and statistics without any deception in case that he will be exposed to make skullduggery. Thus due to the role of scandals, people can constrain their own behaviors and improve the level of the society after all. 觉得这段偏题,题目是说scandal focus our attention on problems in ways that no speaker or reformer ever could.
However, as it is very important and profitable for medias to reveal out scandals in politics, academia, and all other areas, sometimes these medias do not care much about the accuracy and reality of these scandals without careful investigation. Thus there are too many scandals reported do not demonstrate the truth but are made up unwarrantedly. These unsubstantiated scandals can offer a veil of the real world to people and also create negative influence of those who are the subjective of these scandals. What frequently happens is that we hear of a scandal which quickly break down the images of those persons in our mind and we overemphasize their fault instead of treating their contributions fairly. For example, though Clinton had a scandal with Lewinsky, which really diminish his prestige and reputation, however, people should not underestimate his contributions about the development and stability of American society because of his politic behaviors and strategies. As a result, we should be avoid believing blindly in the reports about these scandals and be careful to establish the facts relating to them before making any judgment. Clinton's scandal其实没有给他带来什么过大的负面影响,支持率依然很高。
To sum up, scandals have both positive and negative effects for people to understand the real society, which need citizens to keep their mind clearly and distinguish the accuracy of scandals before making any criticisms. Media should also need to guarantee their reports to be exact and impartial.
