I fundamentally agree with the speaker’s suggestion that it is government’s duty to preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural condition, although these are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people. My reasons are as follows.
The first reason accounting for the necessity of doing so lies in the value of wilderness areas. No one can deny the fact that a lot of scientific experimentation and research are carried out in wilderness areas which are inaccessible to the majority of population. Take the satellite launching center in Xichang , one of the largest one throughout the country for a suitable supporting example. The center situates in a deep valley in southwest China, which satisfy the human needs for the launching of earth static satellite. The value of wilderness areas are also shown in there aesthetic and spiritual value. This point is not difficult to get after a careful examination that a large quantity of places of great interests now were actually wilderness areas years ago. Therefore, these areas should be preserved in case they are needed in the future for some currently unforeseen reasons.
For further reasons of doing so, we have an obligation to future generations to leave the earth in an unspoiled state as possible. This reveals a responsibility as well as a selflessness of mind which follow the thought of sustainable development. Arlin Hackman has once said several years ago in his Foraging A National Wilderness Agenda, and I quote, that,“world experts argue that concerted action for wilderness preservation is needed by the year 2000 to meet the challenge of disappearing land use options.” Now, years have passed, thus the situation has become much more crucial for us to pay emphasis on.
Finally, we preserve those wilderness areas because we are part of the same community, if we harm those land, we are harming ourselves. For supporting examples, one need look no further than the ruining of Amazon rain-forest. By turning the forest to farmland through cutting down a variety of trees and setting fires in the forest, humans have already faced the consequences which are the punishment for what they did. Considering the amazing speed of the extinction of species there, it is easy to calculate what a great loss will it be left to human several years later if they still destroy this wilderness area. An opposite case is the preservation of Palmyra, a small island a thousand miles south of Hawaii, an untold distance from civilization. As Bruce Babbitt , former secretary of the interior said, Palmyra is a jewel of America’s Pacific coral reefs thus should be protected from exploitation and be a place where future generations can for all time marvel at the pristine natural wonders of the nation’s tropical seas, and I quote here as solid evidence for my view. It will create an almost unbroken stretch of brush and swamp wilderness extending from Lake Okeechobee to the Gulf of Mexicothus creating a harmonious environment for both humans and other creatures in this multiple world.
The above three reasons are enough to illustrate the importance and necessity for government to preserve nearly intact wilderness areas disregard of whether they are accessible to most people.

I fundamentally agree with the speaker’s suggestion that it is government’s duty to preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural condition, although these are often extremely remote and thus accessible to only a few people. My reasons are as follows.不错,开头已经有意识的去概况作者的观点了,不过建议多看看范文,

学习一下引出自己的观点时可以使用的句式。)The first reason accounting for the necessity of doing so lies in the value of wilderness areas. No one can deny the fact that a lot of scientific experimentation and research are carried out in wilderness areas which are inaccessible to the majority of population. Take the satellite launching center in Xichang , one of the largest one throughout the country for a suitable supporting example(这句话有点问题) The center situates in a deep valley in southwest China, which satisfy(satisfies) the human needs for the launching of earth static satellite (我猜想你想说的是地球同步卫星,应该是geosychronous satellite). The value of wilderness areas are(is) also shown in there (为什么要加个there )aesthetic and spiritual value建议value改成aspects. This point is not difficult to get after a careful examination that a large quantity of places of great interests now were actually wilderness areas years ago(结构有点问题). Therefore, these areas should be preserved in case they are needed in the future for some currently建议换个词语 unforeseen reasons. For further reasons of doing so, we have an obligation to future generations to leave the earth in an unspoiled state as possible. This reveals a responsibility as well as a selflessness of mind which follow the thought of sustainable development. Arlin Hackman has once said 此处应该用一般过去式吧several years ago in his Foraging A National Wilderness Agenda, and I quote, that,“world experts argue that concerted action for wilderness preservation is needed by the year 2000 to meet the challenge of disappearing land use options.”有意识的引用一些话很好 Now, years have passed, thus the situation has become much more crucial for us to pay emphasis on.Finally, we preserve those wilderness areas because we are part of the same community, if we harm those land, we are harming ourselves. For supporting examples, one need look no further than the ruining of Amazon rain-forest. By turning the forest to farmland through cutting down a variety of trees and setting fires in the forest, humans have already faced the consequences which are the punishment for what they did这个。。。我们大家都是人啊。。。所以建议不要用they。。。). Considering the amazing speed of the extinction of species there, it is easy to calculate what a great loss will it be left to human several years later if they still destroy this wilderness area. An opposite case is the preservation of Palmyra, a small island a thousand miles south of Hawaii, an untold distance from civilization.
