Arguement18The following appeared in an editorial in a Prunty County newspaper.

"In an attempt to improve highway safety, Prunty County recently lowered its speed limit from 55 miles per hour to 45 on all major county roads. But the 55 mph limit should be restored, because this safety effort has failed. Most drivers are exceeding the new speed limit and the accident rate throughout Prunty County has decreased only slightly. If we want to improve the safety of our roads, we should instead undertake the same kind of road improvement project that Butler County completed five years ago: increasing lane widths and resurfacing rough roads. Today, major Butler County roads still have a 55 mph speed limit, yet there were 25 percent fewer reported accidents in Butler County this past year than there were five years ago."


The argument is well-presented, but not thoroughly well-reasoned. By making a comparison of the Prunty, the county with decreasing the speed and therefore the accident rate has decreased only slightly, with the Butler, a county improved the same kind of roads five years ago and subsequently 25 percent fewer reported accidents this past year than five years ago, the argument for not to decrease the speed but to improve the roads in order to decrease accidents effectively seems logical.

The accident rate of Prunty County which with decreasing the speed has decreased only slightly, it cannot conclude that decreasing the speed is not useful for decreasing accidents. It can just conclude that it is not enough to the decreasing accidents that only decrease the speed limit,  therefore the citizens of Prunty County should not restore the 55 mph limit. So the citizens must do more actions, if they want to decrease the accident rate effectively. There are many other possible alternatives to the increasing accidents. Such as the population, if the population of Prunty is high, and the rate of automobile accident maybe high.

Butler County with completed road improvement project five years ago has 25 percent fewer reported accidents this past year than five years ago, it also cannot conclude that the road improvement project is effective to decrease accidents, especially in Prunty County. Therefore the citizens of Prunty County must consider more things before improve the roads. There are many other possible alternatives to the decreasing accidents, is possible that the speed limit in Butler County has been decreased.

Overall, the conditions of the two counties are not the same, the action which is effective to decrease accidents in Butler County, it maybe not effective in Prunty County. And the action which is not effective to decrease accidents in Prunty County, it maybe not useless. Therefor the citizens of Prunty County must take the right actions to decrease according to the local conditions.

Issue51"Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."In this era of rapid social and technological change leading to improving education more and more, both positive and negative effects among persons call for a balance in which education will be designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student and it will be designed to generality.It must not be ignored to educate the individual predominance and interest. If a person has predominance to others, he will be emulatory in the society. If everyone’s ability is the same, it will counteract the selection of talents and the improvement of the society. A man (who) want to be alive in the society(, he )must have a professional skill. It is evidence (evident) that not everyone has the same interest, so their interests must be respected, and it also should be improved in the education. But the education system will be chaos if the interest is emphasized excessively in the education, and the education will be difficult to be managed. And then we must (have)to face many problems, for example the classroom, the length of schooling and so on. Anyway, much knowledge is necessary to each student. Each worthy has profound knowledge. If a student only learn what he is interested in, he (will) can not acclimatize himself to the society because of his ignorance. However, the society also needs generalist sometimes. Therefore the education should be designed to meet general needs and individual needs, we must find out a balance between them. It is importance to improve individual predominance and interests, but we must also learn some necessary knowledge. More elitists would be brought out only in this kind of education.
