97 "It is unfortunate but true that political decisions and activities affect all aspects of people's lives."
尽管很不幸,但这是一个事实,政治决策和活动影响着人们生活的方方面面。
中文提纲:
1政治怎么影响生活
2是否影响生活的所有方面
3是否真的unfortunate
Do the political decisions and activities affect all aspects of people’s lives? And is it unfortunate, as the statement contends? In my view, the political decisions and activities affect people’s live indeed, but not all aspects. Neither is it unfortunate.
Many people maintain that the political decisions and activities are matters of policians, which has no business of us ordinary people. However, I will say, the decisions and activities impact our lives directly and indirectly. People in business care about political decisions on economy, say, interest, that decides the cost of liability and go on decides the profits; retired people concern with the welfare provided by government which determines their living condition of the rest life; Women pay attention to policies on gender equality; Parents looks to the government asking for adjusting the education system to make their children more knowledgeable and meet the require of society more well; and nearly everyone draw their eyes on economic policy in the further, such as employment policy which is closely related to majority people. Even the election of mayor, which is seemed not to involve us too much, has a predominant influence on the development of the area, which then has an effect on the standard of the president’s living directly. Therefore, those political decisions and activities, which are likely a little far from us, are actually bounded to our lives tightly.
Nevertheless, the political decisions and activities, not completely exact as the statement says, affect only part of people’s lives, or major part at most. There are so many things spearing around people’s lives, such as eating, sleeping, which is so trivial that the political decisions and activities can’t affect them. Also, people can have their own religion belief, which is not necessarily be dominated by the current polity. Making friends with others and traveling around world dose not have much to do with the polity, either.
Concerning on the part, which can the political decisions and activities can dominate, purely, I maintain that we are absolutely not unfortunate. All the decisions made and activities carried out by the government are taken the masses or the whole country’s interests into consideration. That the Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal overcame, though not totally, the Great Depression, which is one of the deepest sorrows in American history, is a representative example, which turns the government’s polity to benefit to us masses. In that case, we should not consider ourselves as unfortunate but be positive and pay as much attention as possible on the political decisions and activities instead.
In summary, the political decisions and activities, which consider essentially the interests of masses as the ultimately purpose, affect many but not all aspects of our lives, which we should not regard as sufferings.
