Education, a sculpting involves instructing basic knowledge and providing moral standard as well as communication skills is a life-long process. With its high demand and essential role in a person’s development, more and more attention has been focus on this subject to make the education more effective and thorough, requiring high responsibilities from the educators in the schools as well as parents and communities.

Firstly, education requires the engagement of parents due to their close relationship with students and their profound impact. Parents are the first teachers of the children. From the moment they first open their eyes, their life are linked tightly with their parents. It is the parents who teach a child how to speak and how to get dressed, it is their behavior and facial expression do their child mimics everyday, and it is also from their response can a child know whether it has done something right or wrong. Without any other reference, parents become the only authority for the children’s demeanor. As mentioned in one old parable, when the child brought back a pencil he stole from school, his mother was happy for him; when he brought back a bag he robbed, his mother praised him; when he was punished to death on the gallows, he bit his mother’s ear for not telling him the meaning of probity in the first time. Another example comes from the world ping pong champion player Guoliang LIU, whose parents introduce ping pong ball to him when he was even in the kindergarten, they trained him playing ping pong in a funny and amusing way that Guoliang gradually loves playing ping pong and finally becomes the representative of the ping pong team of P. R. China, playing in various competitions, not only bring honor to the team but also fulfill his own interests. Therefore, parents play a crucial role in the children’s development.

Secondly, community, as a miniature of the society, helps children to develop communication skills and deal with social problems. Without the connections within the community, each family would be like a single fallen flower pedal, transient and easily flag. Only with the nutrients spreading all over the flower can it become fragrant and long-lasting. The same theory also applies to the children’s education. Due to the limited time, busy work, lack of concerning or too many restrictions, parents may not be able to see the merits or the shortage of a child. Even the educators in the school may not know the children as well as their peril friends, who have more common topics to share with each other and play together. Community not only provides a social environment for children to make friends, but also provides a mirror for the children to learn from others. Playing with friends help children know more about the social standard, in turn, they would discard the habits they don’t like on others and try to form laudable ones.

Although education from parents and community are crucial, sometimes due to the time constraint, different culture backgrounds, or various personalities, it is impossible to let parents or community to involve in local schools since it has its own management strategies to allocate the instructors and the resources. Admittedly, education is a complicated and time-consuming process, only with the network of the school, parents and the community, can children have an all-round development.
