签证官问了我2个问题， 实际上我只回答了1个半...

VO Q1: Why are you going to Kansas University Medical Center?

Me: I was supposed to pass you this letter written by the director of my program.....

VO: (Interrupted) No, you just have to answer whatever I asked you.

Me: (老老实实的)I chose KUMC cuz......balabala

VO Q2: (眯眼笑) What does your parents do?

Me: They hold positions in.........Here are certificates of their positions and income, and I also got our family pictures......(busy searching from my huge document bag which I guess scares him a little bit)

VO: Nonono, do not show those to me, you are dismissed now. Because you got it approved.

Me: (Look up)......Thank you very much. Bye.

整个2个小时的排队等待时间 我都时刻留意着各个vo窗口 没有1个转过身的人不是手握小白条面带轻松和微笑的。更有的vo直接看到F1全奖 直接放行的。更好玩的是我前面的一君 vo获悉他还未拿毕业证书 就开始调侃起大学生活，什么功课忙不忙，什么平时是不是经常跷课...我站在后面狂汗~心中大石顿时落地。

没签的兄弟姐妹们是不是宽心很多呢？

VO自始至终没有看我准备的任何一个材料，可能是被我厚厚的一堆文件夹的气势给震慑住了。但我还是把我的checklist提供给大家分享，毕竟走了这么远的路了 我们要做到有备无患，万无一失嘛^^

1. Materials to be submitted before meeting your VO

• passport
• signed I-20
• two receipts for the fee
• DS156 (photo attached) 157 158

2. Future Academic Preparation Kit

• Letter to US embassy written by the director of my program
• director's webpage with picture and research information
• my desired future mentor's webpage with picture and research information
• list of the email correspondence between my desired professor and me

3. Normal School Application Kit

• Curriculum Vitae
• Statement of Purpose/ Future Plan
• Official TOEFL & GRE Score Reports
• Official Transcript from my university
• my recommendation letters

4. All of my Offer Letters and Fellowship Certificate from US Schools

5. Academic Achievement

• Abstracts of my papers
• full version of my thesis
• Diploma of BSc degree

6. Evidence for Other Achievement

• CET-4, CET-6
• diploma and certificate for honors and awards

7. Financial and Family Background Explanation

• Certificate for Employment and Income from my parents
• Affidavit of Support signed by my mother
• Bank Statement for the saving account of my mother
• Certificate for the ownership of family house and car
• Household Register of my family
• Certificate of Parents' Marriage
• Picture of family life
• my Social Identity Card

So much for the checklist, there are several points to remind you,

Perhaps underground railway is the best way to get there, the embassy is just 100 meters away from Yong An Li Station. The taxi took me forever to arrive.

Noodle in the restaurant next to the embassy seems ok, fill yourself up before get in the embassy cuz it will be a 2 hour's que waiting.

Do not forget to leave your opaque bag with mobile phone, mp3 in the locker provided in the entrance hall at 10 RMB cost, because these things are not allowed in the visa hall.

Enjoy the experience with ease and prepare for the approval the visa! Good luck~

我当时是怕对方以为我这个是敏感专业 check我
系里的那封信澄清了 学习的内容和方向 而且我本来打算开门见山直接给vo 然后就顺着说 然后主导进度的 不知道是不是太天真了~
