Competition is ultimately more beneficial than detrimental to society

It is always a hot issue that whether competition is good or not for the society,  I strongly agree with the statement that competition do more beneficial than detrimental to the society. Competition is the power of the society's progressing. Without competition there will be no development. Competition is everywhere .The following paragraphs I will analysis the role that competition played in the diverse fields.

          First of all, the area that most represent the importance of competition is the biology area, in the Darwin's theory of evolution, the famous theory that is natural selection and survival of the fittest, it perfectly interprets the rule that only the best one that through competition can finally get survival. The competition make the species more and more suitable for the changing environment, and eliminate the ones that can not adapt to the new environment. Competition make the world of species more and more harmony and suitable for them to live.
    When it come to the business world, it is the same, with competition ,the company should try their best to win the profits, so they may think up new ideas to cut the cost, improve the quality of the products and also the service. They know that only in this way that they can finally win the customs and occupy the market, and reach the goal of wining more profits. In this positive circulation that the producer gets the more profits and the consumer get better quality products and service. And this kind of competition progress the quality of life.

    In the political realm. The advantage of competition is also quite apparent, the typical example is the voting for the presidency of the United States is a good example, the democracy party and the republic      party just compete for the presidency for the next five years, and this make the two parties thy their best to think up new policies to do goods for the masses, and this policies surely will benefit the society, and also if the former president or party didn't meet their promises they will lose the debate for the presidency of the next five years. So competition make the political realm develop towards the direction of doing good to the people.

   Competition is a two-edge sword, when it do much good to the society, it also will cause some problems. Such as the pollution due to the factory in order to cut the cost that the producer just release the harmful gas to the sky without clean it , and when the competition is quite intense, it may cause the competitor adopt some fierce method just to win the competition and not for the purpose of make self-improvement.

   In sum, when the competitor has a positive attitude toward the competition, the competition is great driving force of society, but when the competitor's wrongly locate his purpose just to win, then the competition may cause a lot of problems and is really harmful to the society.
