Issue 153(老题号60min)
What I want to say is, I can not agree more with the point. once There was a Chinese ancient said so: only to adhere to the books is not as good as to give up. here ,I will analogy the issue from three segments followed. First, if you do not hold skepticism to study, how things will go? Second , in contrast to the first one, keeping skepticism in one’s study life, from which what can it bring?
First ,as a student who really wants to further his/her study, if he/she just accept whatever the professors’ knowledge rather than accepting with a kind of rational mind, he/she hardly get develop himself/herself. For lacking of logical analogy on his/her own initiative, for a person, knowledge just becomes a certain frame which will restraint human beings’ mind. When it comes to conflict with palpable false, for example, a student are working on a design based on the amounts offered by the professor, he/she may walks into a bottleneck when found that the calculated cost is too expensive to execute. But what is wrong with it? Several detailed checks through which the student found nothing was wrong, in this situation, he/she just can not move forward. Until the professor gives him/her a call to tell that some offered amounts are mistakes , the student did not solve it out.
Second, in contrast to the first kind of students, those who always stand up to query the professor’s words and ask why things will go like this but not that, for experience a serial analogy in their own mind, through which processes they can realize problems clearlier and deeplier, even sometimes it makes some insignificant discover. Such the finders of the double helix of DNA -----Watson and Crick, if not keep skepticism on the () and have enough courage to (), people may be still in a drum. The other (representative) that everybody can tell is the debate between Galileo and Aristotle about whether a ball and a piece of feather will kiss the ground at the same time if the two are dropped from the same height? Such examples are numerous.
Every field is waiting someone to compensate its deficiency even in the physical education, nobody can tell something undoubtedly jeopardize to human beings or be settled down. Once there was a long time our ancients considered earth is an rectangle which have a dome and flat ground, later Columbus’ travel around the world revealed that things do not like what people thought -----the fact is the earth is not flat but a ball. Though the modern technique gives us chance to appreciate the satellite pictures, but how could we know if there is something hided which we could see depending on current technique? nobody can promise.
So, holding an attitude which is call skepticism is necessary for students. This way may be is not the best way to study , but an effected one which can lead people to discover a more real world. |
