People’s attitudes are determined more by their immediate situation or surroundings than by any internal characteristic.

Whether people’s attitudes are determined more by their immediate situation or surroundings than internal characteristic or otherwise, it is undisputable that both immediate situation or surroundings and internal characteristic impose on the people’s attitudes. As for which one is more important, I will give my point as discussed below.

At the philosophical level, people’s attitude are determined by the internal characteristic as inhesion at the first stage , and then effected by the immediate situation or surroundings as exogenous reasons. Consider the policeman’s behavior who confronts a defiant suspect. Assuming this policemen accepted a highly trained but with a hot temper, whether he may go beyond the bounds of his training and beat a suspect if provoked enough by this suspect or not is depend on his internal characteristic ---- the ability of restraining himself. If the policeman with a even temper, he simply ignored the taunts of this suspect, this kind of internal characteristic allowed him to take provocation and insults without feeling it at all.

Or consider the persons who is in trouble and under heavily  striked, the optimistic and positive one may say that “failure is mother to success”, and insist on , however the pessimistic and negative one may say that “failure means to give up”. Accordingly , I can safely conclude that to some extent people’s attitudes is appeal to internal characteristic over their immediate situation or surroundings.

I concede that one person ‘s attitudes distinguish eventful under the different immediate situation or surroundings. One apt illustrate of this point involves the old says in china . “one who stays near ermilion gets stained red, and one who stays near ink gets stained black”. This only testified to one aspect , which is also a proof  that people’s attitudes is effected by the situation and surroundings.

In sum , two aspects the speaker’s mentioned are intertwisted each other. To some extent , the internal characteristic can be changed by the effecting of their immediate situation or surroundings , In some other case , the immediate situation or surroundings might  meet a favourable  turn owing to the  excellent  internal characteristic . For instance, the German eminent philosopher, Friedrich Niezsche who is inborn a philosopher with  distinguished talent of logic , mathematical , linguistics, and so on. This kinds of internal characteristic help him make decision which toward the way to philosophy , at the same time , his immediate situation or surroundings provide him difficulty and frustration on facing his fault and deficiency and cast his deposition of aloof and proud which is the key make him  eminence. How can we disjoin this two aspects ? In the final analysis, the immediate situation or surroundings and internal characteristic determined people’s attitude together, any isolated view is improper.
