TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
There is no doubt that our education system leaves something to be desired. The speaker contended that only when the specifically designed to each student, education will be truly effective, (这句话应该完了吧?)it has merit from a normative standpoint, and I agree with the notion insofar as individual needs and interests are two crucial ingredients to appeal the student study hard and activity which affects whether a student can gain knowledge by education. (看不太懂?)However, everything is alternative. Students have coureses only rest with their individual needs and interests may restrict their acclimation to social requirement----the significance of education in today’s system.
真正的?), the speaker’s assertion that specifically designed to each student (这是什么成分作主语?看不太懂)will make education more effective is quite compelling, for two reasons. First, study begin(begun) with someone’s interest may attract he or she to make detailed exploration of a subject. “Love is ever the beginning of knowledge as fire is of light” Such is the remark made by Thomas Carlyle, a great historian and essayist. 表达不清楚)has been shared now by more and more people. Some pedagogist found that the difference between a student who studies a course well and one who does not lies frequently in whether the student is interest(interested) in the subject. Specifically designed to each student might drive more study(students) to be fond of study. Second, aptitude is a vital part of each student. The Chinese philosopher Confucius is correct in this assertion that teach students in accordance of their aptitude. For that matter, the students will not any longer concern about the courses they are totally not interested in and may put their all energy to the courses regard as their favorites and talents.(本段最后三句话逻辑不太清楚,大概意思是:"资质对每个学生很重要,孔子的话也证明了这点,如果是那样的话学生们就会不遗余力的学自己感兴趣的东西".
Beyond this concession, however, I contend that specifically designed programs to students can hardly be put into practice, and the results will not be so satisfactory as expectation. For students, the education pattern will narrow down students’ ken and capability of acclimation to future career. It is clear that the system of modern society demand graduate predominate much more synthesize technical ability. Whether or not students chosen programs will be well arranged and prepare them for future is questionable. Especially cinsidered that chindren and teenage, they are too immature and whimsical to have a sane estimate of their future career. How easily they choose a course capriciously, how easily they drop lessons while they are tired of.
In addition, the education pattern which specificall designed education according to each student’s needs and interests does not fully take the contemporary educational resource into account. Consider that this education program brought into effect, compared to enormous students, the number of teachers is far more needed, and the other educational facilities such as labs, liberaries are pressed for. This dilemma may lead to one consequence that only few person who is affluent enough can take part into this education pattern. If it is the case, the education deviate from the tenet that enhance quality of the society.(这段写得不错,指出教育资源的匮乏会导致不公平,最终并没能使整个社会的质量得到提高.)
In sum. I concede that specially designed to each student may drive them study on their own initiative. Nonethe less, to some extent, the speaker’s claim ignored the contemporary circumstance render it cannot bring into effect. In the final analysis, the optimal approach, in my view, even if special designed of each person is unavailable, schools can try their best to offer more choices and autonomy to students in some area as long as the resource allowed(最后一段的总结不够全面,过于笼统.,可以把主体部分的分论点再加深一下,作者的观点应该是反对大于赞同,但最后一段没有体现出来)
