除了JHU 在一月给了据信后，其他的还没有消息，还好今天收到这个。

背景： pku, 本科，数学
           美国一般大学， master, 生统（08夏将毕业）

Rej 是 Coloradao State University， Biomedical Engineering， MS ，预料之中也是预料之外，因为从ME转BME毕竟跨度比较大，但申请前BME的小米说我的硬件条件还不错，极其热情的鼓动我申请，原本以为能录取的几率还是比较大的，没想到居然第一个给我发Rej  

AD 是 UIC 和 SUNY-Baffulo，ME MS，
总共申请了8所学校，现在就剩5所了，希望能有Offer，也希望我的 Dream 学校能至少给我个AD阿  

本来准备这几天就去寄财产证明给UIC了，没想到今天又收到了Baffulo的AD，现在有点犹豫不决，如果拿不到其他学校的Offer，该从哪一个  

从地点上讲，两个地方治安都不太好，但芝加哥好歹是个大城市，对以后找工作还是相对方便些的

UIC排名靠前点，可学费高，而且我要学的program只有一个导师还是印度人，Baffulo 我要学的program也只有一个导师，是个中国女人，估计两个人都会比较Push，不过Baffulo的项目我相对感兴趣一些

另外一个考虑就是等我拿了AD去上学，在学校里找到些工作或者第二学期或者第二年能拿到奖学金的几率不知道哪一个会大一些，看到以前的帖子好像Baffulo钱比较少，而UIC的奖学金MS比较充裕，不知道是不是这样？所以还请大家帮我拿个主意啊，谢谢啦！

另外问一个问题：当时看到有TA,RA才申请的。谁知道只给了这么小的奖学金。显然不行啊。

RT.在面食3周之后终于等来了第一个美国的offer.在被UIUC拒了之后...呵呵. 面经偶已经发了.虽然去US的几率现在已经很小了,但是拿到这么好的一个offer,也是对自己的一个肯定.增强了信心.要说明 Iowa是很赞的学校,
1.offer里居然有dental insurance啊,似乎一般要自理的..
2.同时寄来了4.15协定,明确说offer is valid until Apr 15..赞!!!

今天早上从垃圾邮件中找到一封他们家的邮件，题目是：Gong xi Gong xi! 内容如下：
Congratulations!  Our admissions faculty are admitting you to our Ph.D. program! In fact, they were impressed with your credentials, and are putting you name on the list for potential financial support!   Specific offers for the fall 2008 semester will be made by late March to early April, both via e-mail and airmail, so please continue to be patient, for now.
后面还有一堆客套话。
我这个是不是现在算是个AD,但过几天就变成offer了？ 还望大虾指点。
个人背景：
西交大本科，GPA major 88, overall 85,我们学校overall第一88。比很多学校都低，呵呵，没办法啊。
GRE：1350+4.0， TOEFL：607+5.5，语法部分甚低。。。
两篇中文paper,一作，文章很菜很菜的。
参加电子设计竞赛，得了个省二等奖，不过CV中忘记提到了，因为当时还没出成绩。
有一封美国牛校教授的推荐信，但不知道作用如何。
