People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge) why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

When I was a child, my mother often said to me,” If you want be a university student, you should work harder”. Up to now, I still remember the first day when I entering the campus and the excited mood I had at that moment. You may ask me, why you want to attend university? I think the most possible reason for me or anyone else is for career preparation and I will explain it as bellows.

Primarily, a satisfying job needs skills and knowledge, studying in university cultures us to be this kind of person. Today, most universities are equipped with larger library that students are able to search information or reference which he or she is interested in. Also, an open class discuss teaching method helps us the think critically and thoroughly. What’ more, laboratory in university is available so that we can do some researches. What’s more important, university is often a place that converge experts and professors. This also provides us the opportunities to attending their lectures or exchanges ideas with them in learning.

Again, studying and living in university socialize us that it is required in work. We help with each other in living or studying and join different kind of unions to make more friends. We could successfully deal with the relationship with our roommate, if he or she disturbs us in studying. We also get to know how to love a person and take care of others. We pursuit this 4 years as a training lesson that we need to use when we graduated in future.

Finally, a well-paid job comes from a higher education degree. This is real true when it comes to China. It’s so common now that International companies sited their headquarters in big cities in China like Shanghai, Beijing or Guangzhou. That is to say obtaining a bachelor or master degree would definitely be a great advantage for you to get into such companies and be well paid.

In summary, although there might be other reasons for people to attending university like be interested in research or favorite to learning, the reason of most people is to prepare careers. We are so luck that could be one of the contemporary university students.

If I have this chance, I would like to meet China’s former president Deng Xiaopin. My first reason is just because he is the person who helped our country to become richer. Secondly I admire him is for his decision to resume the examination that could allow us to entering universities. This really gives us the opportunity to tough high-tech. On contemporary society, there is a tendency that more people choose to further their education in college or university. Moreover, this phenomenon exists not only in China but also many other countries. So why an increasing number of people attend college or university is a question that is worth considering. As far as I am concerned, it can be attributed to two main reasons, including obtaining specialized knowledge, more career opportunities and enriching oneself. Let us take a close look at the two reasons.
Since the competition is increasingly severe nowadays, it goes without saying that a college degree carries more weight in the job market. Almost everyone expects a decent job with a high salary, good opportunities to develop and high chances to promote. As a result, facing so many choices after graduating from high school, attending college or university becomes the preference for numerous people. Sometimes, even this is not always enough. For example, in my country, every year, millions of graduates leave colleges or universities and compete for the relative saturated career openings. It is obvious how difficult to find a satisfying job career. So confronted with such an embarrassing situation, more people can do nothing but continue on for graduate degrees to be well qualified.
Additionally, it is exciting to see a great many universities solely for the old are set up. After retirement, a lot of old people want to enrich themselves, cultivate their interests as well as know more friends of the similar age. Universities just meet this demand, which create good atmosphere to study and discuss what interests the old.
In conclusion, varied reasons are involved in why people attend college and university, but the two main reasons are listed as above. For many, it lays a solid foundation for a promising further; for the old, it provides a pretty good place to enrich themsel
