There is an old Chinese saying, "Steady efforts can grind an iron rod into a needle" which has the same meaning with the western expression "Never, never give up", and they all express one kind of spirit that if you could keep trying and never stop working, you will make a final success. While I think this saying should be widely accepted, because the spirit of "never give up" would exert positive effect, whatever it comes to study, career or our daily life.

First of all, "Never, never give up" would contribute directly to getting our goals in our study. I could still vividly remember when my junior school English teacher firstly told me "Never, never give up". Because I hadn't learnt any English course until junior school, while all my classmates had learnt some basic knowledge in their elementary school, so I only got a B while my classmates all got A in the first English test. I was deeply depressed and didn't have any confidence and interest in studying English. My teacher said "Never, never give up" to me and encouraged me to stick to. From then on, I began to practise a lot and then got the highest score in English in our graduate test. I think it is the expression "Never, never give up" that raised me up.

Secondly, "Never, never give up" would also benefit personal career or our human's development. Just like the widely known story of Great physicist Albert Einstein, when his teacher asked whether there would be a uglier pottery handwork than the one Einstein made, Einstein raised another handwork and said "the former one I made". The story tells us that keep trying and we could be better and better. It may be the spirit that helps Einstein set up theory of relativity and get a huge success in his physics field.

Moreover, this golden expression would also encourage everyone in his daily life. We have many different kinds of goals which may be great and small. Perhaps you want to learn how to cook a French meal, with insistent effort you may not cook as well as a chef, but you will enjoy the happiness of delicious food. Or perhaps you just plan to lose weight, with "never give up" spirit and great effort, you may not as fit as a model, but you will find that you are healthier and more beautiful than before.

To conclude, with the encouragement of "Never, never give up", we would finally get our goals and succeed whenever in a person's study and daily life, or in development of our society.
