Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Whether should people sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing, different people have different answers. In my opinion, I both agree and disagree this statement. Admittedly, people may not always do what they like in lifetime, however, they can choose what they like to do or come to enjoy what they do by realizing the favorable aspects of those things they did not like before.

First of all, the prerequisite of doing things that people do not like to do is determined by what kind of consequence those things will result in, benefiting for or harm to human, nation, society, etc. For example, some people become a doctor just because of their family or parents’ tradition. Maybe they do their works and cure many patients just for the responsibility to be a doctor, and they do not like this character. If so, in my view they do good deeds even they do not enjoying doing.

Secondly, people’s habits may change as time passed, just as the trees turn green into yellow, or season cycles periodically. It is quite possible that a person loves what he／she does at the first glance. Nevertheless, after a long time, he/she have finial found out what he/she does is not fit for him/her, but this thing can give him/her a good pay or it is hard to make a shift. A fitting example is that a person who gets a first job in a stock market as a broker. A few years later, even he has got much money but tired of indulging in the stock index, at same time he hasn’t found other well paid job for his house, car, and children’s education. What is he going to do?

On the other hand, every coin has two sides. Let’s come to the broker mentioned above. if he has got a more favorable job than before. He can obviously to do what he like and enjoy his job entirely.

All in all, whether should people sometimes doing some things without enjoyment is a case-by-case analysis. I prop that the criteria of this statement can be judged by the outcomes of what they do. If the results of what people do, without enjoyment, are correct, they can look for a way to enjoy them.

A gift (such as a camera, a soccer ball, or an animal) can contribute to a child’s development. What gift would you give to help a child develop? Why? Use reasons and specific examples to support your choice.

I thinks a fable book for children will contribute more to their development. First of all, this kind of book is written in language which is suitable for children to practice reading skill, and enlarge vocabulary. Second, fable book’s contents can help children cultivate healthy and earnest of world view. For example, story The Hare and the Tortoise in <aesop’s fables> can teach children that in front of perseverance, pomposity loses completely. So in my opinion fable book is a efficient gift for child’s development
