With the development of economy, the competition between different companies has become more and more dramatic. These competition include the quality of products or service and the management of the company which is one of the most important part in the process of making profits. Whether the management is effective depends mostlly on its executive, whose capability of management and insight of the market have an extremely important impacts on the company’s development and thrive. For example, for an executive who has left his former company and wants to compete for a executive position in another company, will demonstrate his capacity by showing how much money he earned for his former company. The example indicates that the capability to make money for a company is the main standard for electing an executive for a company.
However, all the measures an executive takes to attain his goal of making as much money as possible must run under the control of morals and laws of the sciety. Nowadays, there is no denying the fact that air pollution has become a extremely serious problem. Although many executives of company know quite clearly that their manufacture will produce poisonous gases which will pollute air, however, with the pressure of making profits for the company, they still try to violate the environmental laws. An executive of a company, who Only focus on making money without taking the environmental pollution into account, is not to be considered a responsible one.
In addition, many executives are good examples who demonstrate that they can also be an responsible citizen besides being an effective leader. Complying with the morals and laws of our society is the basic standard for the executive as a member of the society while the more higher standard to evaluate the responsibility of an executive is his contribution to the society. As is known to all, Bill Gates, one of the most rich man in the world and one of the most effective executive of Microsoft Company, is also famous for his donation for the charity industry of the world. Every year he donate a great deal of his money to improve the quality of living of some people who live miserable life. [time up] His behavior tells us that he is not only a responsible executive but also an responsible human being.
In conclusion, when an executive want to take some new measures to make money for his company, he must put the society responsibility in his mind in order to remind himself the responsibility for the society.
